The Home Energy Kits are now available to borrow from the Hepburn Shire Libraries (Daylesford, Creswick, Trentham and Clunes)...

The kits can be used to test the energy efficiency of your home. It comes with a guide that explains how to use all the tools.

Library members are able to place a hold online(centralhighlandslibraries.org.au) or in person by talking to a staff member.

They can be borrowed for 1 week.

Each Library has one kit.

Of the 7,483 charging sessions undertaken in 2025-2026, 1,400 of those were local and 6,083 were non-local.

Local charging sessions equated to 18.7% of all sessions.

The Trentham Charger serves as a vital local asset, with 36% of sessions coming from Hepburn Shire residents.

When community organisations lead community programs there is flexibility in how they are delivered when these programs are funded.

This means the people that need to be paid for their time can be and those that can volunteer their time do.

This program delivery was supported by 224 people across the state of Victoria and saw people volunteer 7,328 hours.

When the community leads, everyone benefits.

These are the results that community-led, place-based engagement delivers.

From markets to town halls to community events to neighbourhood houses to online webinars and one-on-one conversations, these organisations reached out to their communities to help them with electrifying their homes.

And in doing this they reached 56,958 stakeholders and engaged directly with 14,830 community members, across 258 events.

These are the results that community-led, place-based engagement delivers.

On 31 August 2025 we received funds from our first debenture to support the purchase of our first community battery, Bessie, at our community-owned Energy Park.

On Monday we paid our first round of debenture interest to 90 co-operative members. That's $65,700 in total that has gone straight back into the pockets of our members, a real example of community wealth building in action.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the debenture, which raised $1.09 million towards this project.
