💙 FATHER’S DAY COLOURING FUN! 💙

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and we’ve got a little something special for our GOswim members! 🎨

Our Father’s Day Colouring-In Station will be set up at the pool ALL WEEK, so while you’re here for your lesson, make sure you stop by and create a special masterpiece for Dad!

Today we had the pleasure of supporting Hummingbird House at their Cent Auction at Kensington Village.

We donated 1 x 30 Visit Pass and 2 x Family Swim Passes to the cause! 💜

There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs, and the auction closes at 2pm TODAY — so there’s still time to get involved!

It’s Meet the Team Monday 👋🏼

This week we’d like to introduce you to Sue, one of our wonderful swim teachers!

Sue has been teaching swimming for 7 years and her favourite part of the job is seeing babies, toddlers and children enjoy their lessons! She loves watching their confidence grow and seeing the effort, enthusiasm and happiness they bring to the pool ☺️

A few of Sue’s favourites:

Outside of swimming, Sue has a real passion for the environment and her local community. For the past 10 years, she has coordinated National Tree Day activities for schools across the City of Moreton Bay area.

She also plans and leads two bush regeneration projects at Rob Akers Reserve in Strathpine and John Oxley Reserve Bushcare on Ogg Road in Murrumba Downs, and leads Francis Road Bushcare in Lawnton.

Sue is also a passionate member of Pine Rivers Koala Care, Pine Rivers Catchment Association, Wildlife Queensland, WILVOS (Wildlife Volunteers) and Native Plants Queensland.

We love having Sue as part of our team and think it’s pretty special that her passion for helping people extends well beyond the pool.

📚 It’s Book Week at Lawnton Aquatic Centre! 📚

And what better time to share some very exciting news…

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Miss Hayley is bringing her very own children’s book to life — Purlie Learns to Float! 🐠💦

Purlie Learns to Float is an Australian water safety story created to help introduce an important message to children and families in a fun and engaging way.

We’re so incredibly proud of the work Hayley is doing to promote water safety and the importance of building these conversations with children from an early age.

There’s no publication date just yet, but the project is well and truly underway and has now reached the binding stage — which means we’re getting closer! 🎉
