With the new cricket season fast approaching, Mowbray Cricket Club is looking for expressions of interest from anyone keen to help out around the club canteen during the 2026/27 season.

We’re currently looking for:
🏏 Canteen Coordinator
🍎 Canteen Volunteers
Anyone happy to lend a hand throughout the season.

Whether you can help regularly, occasionally, or just for a few hours on a game day, every bit of help makes a huge difference to our club.

It’s a great way to get involved with the Eagles, meet people around the club and help create a great game day experience for our players, families, supporters and visitors.

With the AFL grand finals under way this weekend, it’s nearly time for one of our favourite events of the year, the MCC Grand Final Margin Ticket Draw!

📍 Invermay Park, MCC Club Rooms
🗓️ 20th September 2026 (Sunday after the Preliminary Final)
🕛 12:00PM Start
💰 FIRST PRIZE: $1500
either side $250
🎟️ $50 per ticket

Tickets are still available get in now in preparation for the draw!!!

Ticket Includes a BBQ feed, some beer, wine, and soft drink while the draw is on.

A ripper day with a massive prize on the line!

Pre-season announcement 📣

Pre-season continues Tuesday, 4 August at the NTCA Indoor Nets!

Training sessions will be held every:
🏏 Tuesday and Thursday nights
⏰ 6:00pm–8:00pm

Our coaches will be there to help you improve your game, but we want players to take ownership of their development and identify the skills they want to work on.

There is no better time to get ahead of the opposition, improve your weaknesses and prepare for the season with targeted training.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!

🦅 Attention Eagles!

We’re excited to announce Josh Mulholland as our new Junior Development Officer!

Josh will already be a familiar face to many of our junior players and families, having coached within our Junior Program in the past few seasons.

After making a great contribution as a junior coach, Josh will now take the next step in his involvement with our Junior Program as he takes on the role of Junior Development Officer.
Alongside his new JDO role, Josh also continues to play an important role within the wider Club as our Vice President and Board Member, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to the development and future of the Mowbray Cricket Club.

As Junior Development Officer, Josh will work closely with our junior coaches and coordinators to continue growing and strengthening our program, helping our young cricketers develop their skills, build confidence and, most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way!
We’re excited to see Josh step into the role and look forward to what’s ahead for our juniors this season.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to last season’s JDO, Troy Clark, for the enormous amount of time, energy and dedication he has put into the role, our junior players and the continued development of our Junior Program. Troy won’t be going too far! He’ll remain a familiar face around the Club as a Board Member and memebr of our leadership team continuing to play an important role in the development of our young Eagles.
