Last night’s Female Self Defence Class 🥊💪

Small class, but BIG effort! 🔥

We started with a bodyweight HIIT session before moving onto the focus mitts for another round of HIIT. After catching our breath during stretches, it was time for kicks on the shields, focusing on the foundations, technique and power.

We then refreshed our basic counters before moving into the first of five principles of advanced counters. These women are really starting to get the techniques down pat — and they’re learning how to use leverage and technique to throw each other around! 👊

All of that — and more — packed into a 1.5-hour class!

I don’t usually post too many photos from our female classes, but last night’s effort definitely deserves to be recognised. ❤️

These women are empowering themselves with the skills and ability to protect themselves, building confidence, improving their movement and increasing their fitness — all while having a great time and supporting each other.

So, what’s stopping you?

Come along and give it a go! Your first lesson is FREE! 🙌

Another Saturday done and dusted, great start to the weekend. We are beginning to prepare for our next Tae Kyon Karate kyu grading, which means line work, stances, kata, one step and using technique over strength!! 😉

We also had the privilege to help celebrate Kyoshi Alan’s birthday, 21 again!

See you Monday for female self defence class and mixed class with Kyoshi. 🥋

Saturday mornings done right!
Sparring, line work, beginner and advanced counters.

Putting in the work, lots of fine tuning our skills and having a laugh along the way.

Our youngest member today donning his new gi, now the hard work can really begin!

What’s stopping you from coming along and giving it a go? We’d love to see you there.
