IMPORTANT UPDATE

Rayma’s family have made an important update to her funeral proceedings. A number of people were unable to get to the graveside service and the wake/memorial service.

In order to allow as many people as possible to say their goodbyes, the funeral service will now commence at the North Launceston clubrooms at 1pm. It will be followed by the wake with the family to attend the burial service. Guests are welcome to stay at the clubrooms whilst the family attend to the burial.

With the loss of almost all of our premiership side and more disruption than you could poke a stick at we knew we would have to redefine our wins this year.

You do not have to come first to be a winner. It’s a message we have driven all year. If we could measure spirit, passion and culture we remain in good stead.

Could not be prouder of the whole club. We are in the clubrooms as I write this with members and family ready to go again.

First, we have to get behind our girls. An incredible year borne out of hard work and dedication. Let’s get behind them next weekend.

I must say a huge congratulations to our Committee. Many continue to be surprised that every one of us is a volunteer. It is an enormous undertaking and each of us gives all we have for the love of the club and its players.

I could write war and peace but much respect to Allan for coming in eyes wide open on a hiding to nothing in many ways.

To the other coaches senior and junior, we are blessed with good people who would do anything for our young men and women.

To other staff and volunteers. Thank you. We don’t often get the chance to pause and recognise your integral place at the club.

Finally, with peer pressure I post a photo to remind us what it is all about. Fun. We often forget in the rigours of competition that ultimately we are tasked with protecting and motivating our club, young and old.

Today showed me that we are heading in the right direction. We continue to pursue new clubrooms and adamantly maintain our roots at York Park. Strap in. We will keep fighting as we always have.

BOG today the keg. Much respect for his year too. He could have taken plenty of other offers but his energy and spirit has been crucial with a young list. Well done.
