Mowbray Golf Club

Mowbray Golf Club has been successful in the 2025-26 Active Clubs Grant Program.
Anyone out on the course today will see where the funding is going: new cups, flags and poles, plus freshly painted holes. Equipment grants like this are tied to specific items, so it's gear the club would otherwise have had to fund itself.

The 4 trees in the back of this photo represent Mowbray's crowning pennant achievement, winning all Men's state pennant finals (Div 1,2,3, and colts) in 1999.

Mowbray Golf Club was named Winner, Sports Club of the Year (Metro, Large) at the inaugural Clubs Tasmania Awards last night, and took Silver for Inclusive Club of the Year.

Thank you to Clubs Tasmania and Hospitality Tasmania for a first rate event, and to Steve Old and Tom Darke in particular, who have helped this club in a lot of different ways over a long period.

Two results the club can be genuinely proud of. Congratulations to all the clubs recognised on the night.
