Our home grounds are Pottery Green in the heart of Lane Cove & Blackman Park in Lane Cove West, both located only 6km from Sydney's CBD. And with the final weekend of Grand Finals comes to a close we have our fifth double. Our MO35/2s have had a fantastic season in a very competitive comp and although this scoreline looks a little one-sided, this was a game that took a lot of graft and focus for the full 90 mins. A well earned, well deserved result for this team.

GRAND FINAL RUNNERS-UP
From the outside this may look like a Cinderella story, but those who have kept a close eye, know that our WO30/1 Blue team have been on a sharp upwards performance curve, with this being only their second loss since June. They have fought hard every week and forged a spirit and camaraderie that has brought results that their skills deserve.

GRAND FINAL RUNNERS-UP
A heartbreaking end to the season but the team with the best photo game showed just how good they are on the pitch. Our WAA/3s showed plenty of heart and grit with a last minute equaliser sending the game to penalties.
This is a team that contributes so much to this club - our women's coordinator, a G14 coach, and a group of players that are there to support many of our teams, whether its on the pitch or the sidelines.
Congrats on a great season and thanks for your support, hard work and content.

STILL PLENTY OF SPACE FOR NEW TEAMS!!!
NSFA Blackman Park and Gore Hill Summer Comp registrations are now open!
This is a great way to keep those football skills and friendships going through to the end of the year.
It all kicks off in just over a month and is a social team registration model, with games played on a smaller field (6-a-side). It starts on Sept 14 and wraps up on Dec 8.
Form a team with your friends, then sign the team up for your relevant age group.
It's not a Lane Cove FC competition, but we'd love to see our players (especially our girls) out there continuing their football and enjoying the summer evenings with their friends.

GRAND FINAL WINNERS
Another team. Another double. With one of the tightest defences at the club, our MO55s were destined to take home the spoils. Northbridge had been somewhat of a bogie team this season, being the only team to beat our fellas, but even without their top scorer, Lane Cove wrapped up a fantastic season with a strong win in the final.

GRAND FINAL WINNERS
It has seemed like nothing but finals football, MO45/3s as they have been playing must win games for the last 2 months. Third place was never going to be the final destination as they remained undefeated since June. Beating the league champions on the own patch was no easy feat but the team kept control of the game to bring some gold back from Hornsby.
Well done fellas.
Although it was due to an injury sustained with 15mins left, it seemed fitting that the team's top scorer got the sedan treatment after the game. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

GRAND FINAL WINNERS
Our WO45/2s completed the double on Sunday with a nervy but thoroughly deserved 2-1 victory over Greenwich. Pushed all the way by their coach, Claudia, this has been nothing short of a remarkable season for a team that is home to some valued stalwarts of the club.
Having begun the season with 1 point from the first 3 games, they have gone on a run that has seen them lose only one game since. Outscoring everyone else in the league, and winning their last 11 games brought glory in the league with a game to spare and has now won them the grand final.
An impressive, inspirational, and simply superb season. Congrats ladies!!!

GRAND FINAL WINNERS
Having been pipped by 1 point for the league title, our WO45/1s made it their mission to bring home gold in the finals. The league's top scorers were devastating in both games racking up 9 goals along the way. Spurred on by their div 2 sisters they were all smiles at Cammeray On Sunday.
