The 2026/27 season is almost here, and it’s time for our Lakers seniors to get back into it.
Senior pre-season training kicks off:

⏰ 10am – 12 noon
🌭 Sausage sizzle after training
Sunday morning sessions will run for three weeks leading into the start of the season.
Whether you’re returning for another year or thinking about pulling on the navy and gold for the first time, come down, have a hit, meet the crew and get ready for the season ahead.

🎓 Warilla High School Alumni Spotlight – Class of 2011 🎓\

Warilla High School is proud to celebrate the achievements of Kerrod White, a member of the Class of 2011, whose dedication, skill and passion have made him one of the Illawarra's most accomplished cricketers.

Following his time at Warilla High School, Kerrod represented the ACT at under-age level and was selected in the Sydney Thunder squad, competing alongside some of Australia's best emerging cricketers.

Since returning to the Illawarra, Kerrod has established himself as one of the region's premier batsmen. In 2023, he earned selection in the NSW Country Cricket Team, with many recognising his inclusion as a key asset for the Twenty20 format thanks to his ability to change the course of a game with the bat.

His outstanding performances throughout the season saw him recognised as one of NSW Country's leading batsmen, with Kerrod attributing his success to making minor adjustments to his batting technique—a reminder that continual improvement is the key to sustained success.

Lake Illawarra captain Brendan White summed up Kerrod's impact perfectly:

"He's someone who can honestly turn a game in 20 minutes."

Kerrod's journey reflects the value of hard work, resilience and a commitment to always refining your craft. He continues to be an outstanding ambassador for local cricket and for Warilla High School.

Congratulations, Kerrod, on your outstanding achievements. We look forward to following your continued success on and off the cricket field.

A reminder that our Annual General Meeting will be held this Sunday 2 August at 3:00 pm at the Warilla Hotel.

This is your opportunity to have a say in the future of our club as we prepare for another exciting season.
