Had another great turnout from our club at the Hunter Open Judo Championships today, with a few of our players competing for the first time!

Competing in both the Teams and Individual comp!

No.1 in the state and awarded this amazing achievement 👏👏

Judo NSW is proud to announce that Sarah Bailey (Illawarra International Judo Club) and Levi Lipman (Evolution Judo Academy) have been announced as 2024 recipients of the Commonwealth Games NSW Athlete Grant Program with each being awarded $1,000.

40 athletes from across 22 NSW sports were awarded the grant.

CGNSW CEO Peter Tate said “These 40 young athletes have demonstrated tremendous ability in their respective sport pathways. Like many previous award winners, I’m confident quite a few will be chosen to represent Australia in future Commonwealth Games”.

Congratulations to Sarah and Levi, and we wish you all the best with your 2024 National Championship campaign.

A huge congratulations to Levi and Josh representing Evolution Judo Academy at this high level tournament with over 260 competitors and coming home State Champions!

Also, congrats to Jack Nicholls, Luke Lipman and Bradley Telford for competing at this level tournament too, showing incredible toughness and determination!
