I made the trek down to Urana to attend a Moyes ground tow endorsement. Curt Warren our instructor provided wonderful enthusiasm and even better tuition. My 10 takeoff and landings were each attentively supervised. The course was a terrific fillip for my return to the sport and I look forward to attending an aerotow endorsement next year. Well done Moyes Academy.

“ I recently signed up with the Moyes Hang Gliding Academy to get some much needed ground tow experience at Urana, near Wagga Wagga. It was a bit of a road trip from Newcastle, but absolutely worth it!

The training with Curt was excellent — really well structured, clear, and confidence-building. Everything was so well organised, from the towing setup to the site logistics on a beautiful river camp site.

On my last flight, I hooked into my very first thermal and climbed all the way to 3000 feet — the highest I’ve ever been! Such an incredible feeling and a huge milestone in my flying journey. I couldn't be happier!

After an introduction to basic control and handling, each of the 17 students got the chance to jump into a hang glider and put those skills to work under the guidance of Chief Flight Instructor, Tony Barton from Air Sports Newcastle.
