Auckland Baseball Majors Allstars

The last two years the Auckland Baseball U12 team has developed a friendship with Songpa A Little Baseball. They have welcomed us to Korea with friendly games, come to support us at our tournament and even contributed to our celebrations 🫶. We are excited to see that they have made it to the semi finals of the Korea MLB Cup - the largest U12 tournament in Korea with 139 teams at the start!

Our players will also be pleased to know that #48 from Songpa (who absolutely cranked a home run off one of our pitchers in this year's friendly game) is close to breaking the home run record for the tournament - so it's not just us 😃.

This page is all about the kids, but as the tournament comes to an end, coaches and EO finally got a photo together.

Behind these four people is an entire village of people across New Zealand, Australia and South Korea that worked to make this program successful. Parents, sponsors, players who gave up time to train with us, clubs in Australia and South Korea that welcomed us into their communities - you all helped us go as far as we did.

You might see the 3 wins, but since April the team made 1600 live in-game pitches and saw 1400. They had 350 plate appearances and 360 fielding attempts against either high grade older New Zealand players, or great teams from Australia and Korea all after the season in Auckland finished.
