Today, we celebrate the many faces of fatherhood.

To the dads and father figures who guide, support and stand beside us; to the mums doing both jobs; and to those remembering a much-loved dad who is no longer here – Father’s Day can mean something different to everyone.

A fantastic achievement for Eastwood’s Brian Fitzgerald, who has been nominated for the 2026 PGA State Coach of the Year – Game Development at the Victorian Golf Industry Awards.

This nomination is wonderful recognition of Brian’s dedication to coaching and the contribution he continues to make to the development of golfers of all ages and abilities.

To be recognised among Victoria’s leading golf industry professionals is an achievement to be incredibly proud of, and a fitting acknowledgement of Brian’s passion for the game and commitment to helping others enjoy and improve their golf.

The winner will be announced at the Victorian Golf Industry Awards Night on Friday, 16 October.

It was a shot to remember for Daniel Prendergast, recording a hole-in-one on the 2nd – our Local Party Hole – with his 5 iron.

The perfect shot came with an added bonus, with Daniel also claiming the Local Party Hole jackpot of just over $1,500.

ANOTHER ACE FOR EASTWOOD?! GO LI WANG!

Congratulations to Li Wang, who recorded her first ever Hole in One today, acing the 2nd hole with a 9 iron!

Li’s ace came from the yellow tees, so unfortunately there’s no Local Party Hole Jackpot this time around — but a first ever ace is certainly still worth celebrating!

Next time, we’re hoping for one from the reds for you, Li!

Today we’re celebrating , recognising the people who help us all enjoy the game we love. At Eastwood, we’re incredibly fortunate to have not one, but two outstanding PGA Professionals – Tim Hewitt and Brian Fitzgerald.

Whether they’re coaching beginners, helping experienced golfers fine-tune their game, running clinics, supporting our junior programs, or simply sharing their knowledge with members every day, their passion and dedication make a lasting impact on our club.

Golf is about so much more than the scorecard, and great PGA Professionals help create the experiences, confidence and love of the game that keep us coming back.

If you’ve enjoyed a lesson, picked up a helpful tip, or simply appreciate all they do around the club, leave them a message of thanks in the comments below, or drop by the golf shop and say hello! 👏⛳

Community Notice

We are deeply saddened to share that our Club’s Memorial Wall has been defaced and a number of memorial plaques have been stolen.

These plaques honour valued members of our community and hold great meaning for their families, friends, and the Club. To have them taken in this way is incredibly disappointing and upsetting.

This matter has been reported to police. If you saw anything unusual, have any information, or work in the scrap metal industry and come across plaques that may be connected to this incident, please contact police immediately.

We ask our community to remain vigilant as we work to have these memorial items returned to their rightful place.

We're proud to have been featured by Golf Australia for the work we're doing to grow women's golf at Eastwood.

From first swings in our Get Into Golf clinics, through to memberships, competitions and lifelong friendships, we're passionate about creating a welcoming environment where women feel confident, supported and part of our Club.

This recognition belongs to our members, volunteers and staff who make Eastwood such a friendly place to learn and play.
