From a young white belt to a proud 1st Dan Black Belt – what an incredible journey! 🥋

On 8 January 2015, a young Xavier first stepped onto the floor at our Beechboro Dojang, beginning his Tae Kwon Do journey alongside his father, Jamie. Inspired by his two older sisters, who had already started training a few years earlier, Xavier followed in their footsteps and embraced the challenge.

Over the past 11 years, Xavier has demonstrated exactly what can be achieved through consistency, dedication and determination.

Training week after week, he steadily developed his technique, fitness, strength and confidence, earning the respect of both his instructors and fellow students. His journey is a wonderful reminder that lasting success is built through commitment and perseverance.

All of that hard work was rewarded on 14 June 2026, when Xavier proudly achieved the significant milestone of 1st Dan Black Belt. This achievement reflects years of discipline, resilience and a genuine passion for Tae Kwon Do.

Congratulations, Xavier! This is an achievement that you, your family and your instructors should all be incredibly proud of. Thank you for your commitment, positive attitude and willingness to continually improve over the past eleven years. We look forward to watching you continue to grow as both a martial artist and a role model for future generations of First Tae Kwon Do students.

A 1st Dan Black Belt is a symbol of years of dedication, discipline and perseverance—an achievement earned through consistent effort, outstanding commitment and the determination to succeed.

🥋 Congratulations, 1st Dan Black Belt Xavier! Your First Tae Kwon Do family is incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and excited to see what the future holds.

From White Belt to 1st Dan Black Belt – A Journey Over a Decade in the Making 🥋🖤 Some achievements can't be measured in days or months—they are earned through years of dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to never giving up.

On 23 November 2015, a young Ivana stepped onto the training floor at our Beechboro Dojang as a White Belt, beginning a journey that would shape her both as a martial artist and as a person.

Over the next 10½ years, Ivana trained consistently through every challenge, every grading, and every milestone. She embraced the values of First Tae Kwon Do WA—discipline, respect, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit—earning every promotion along the way.

For the past couple of years, Ivana has also generously given back to our school by assisting with the teaching of our children's classes at Beechboro. Her patience, encouragement, and willingness to help younger students have made her a wonderful role model and an invaluable part of our instructor team.

On Sunday, 14 June 2026, all of that hard work culminated in a proud moment as Master Vernon Low awarded Ivana her 1st Dan Black Belt.

At First Tae Kwon Do WA, a Black Belt is never given because of time served. It is earned through years of consistent training, dedication, and successfully meeting the demanding technical, physical, and mental standards expected of every candidate. Ivana's promotion is a testament to the countless hours she has invested and the determination she has shown over more than a decade.

The photos say it all—from a determined young White Belt taking her first steps in Tae Kwon Do to standing proudly beside Master Low as a newly promoted 1st Dan Black Belt. What an incredible journey!

Congratulations, Ivana. Your achievement is one you should be immensely proud of, and we look forward to watching you continue to grow as both a Black Belt and a leader within First Tae Kwon Do WA.

Your journey proves that with commitment, perseverance, and dedication, anything is possible. 👏🥋

💐 Happy Mother’s Day from First TKD WA! 💐 Today we celebrate the incredible mothers across all our WA branches who continue to inspire us both on and off the dojang floor. Our 2026 Mother’s Day Collage is a tribute to the women who not only encourage their children through their TaeKwonDo journey, but who also have the courage and commitment to train alongside them. 🥋

There is something truly special about a mother who leads by example. ❤️ Through every class, every challenge, and every grading, these women show their children the value of perseverance, humility, discipline, and inner strength. 💪 They prove that growth never has an age limit and that true leadership comes through action.

Between work, family commitments, and the endless responsibilities of everyday life, our TKD mums still make time to better themselves physically and mentally. 🌟 That dedication deserves enormous respect. Their presence within our dojangs helps create the strong family culture that First TKD is proud of. 👏
To every mother in our First TKD family — thank you for your support, your kindness, your resilience, and the example you set for the next generation. 🌷 We are proud to have you as part of our community and grateful for everything you do.

If this collage touches your heart, please like ❤️, comment 💬, and share 🔄 as we celebrate these amazing women today.

There’s something special about training on the sand… and even more special about the young students who showed up ready to give their all.

Last weekend’s beach training was a fantastic reminder of the dedication, resilience, and spirit that lives within our next generation. These young martial artists pushed through the heat, the sand, and the challenge with smiles on their faces and determination in their hearts.

Moments like this are what Traditional TaeKwonDo is all about — building strong bodies, focused minds, and respectful attitudes. Watching these students support each other, stay disciplined, and embrace the experience makes it clear…

They are the future of First Tae Kwon Do in WA.

If this is the standard coming through, the future is in very good hands.

Well done to all who attended — your effort does not go unnoticed 👊

Last night at Beechboro Dojang was something special 💥 Four of our Yellow Belts stepped up to face a big milestone — their very first board break… and they absolutely delivered.

You could see the nerves, the focus, and then the moment it all clicked — strong technique, commitment, and confidence straight through the target. Each break wasn’t just about power, it was about courage and believing in their training.

This is what Taekwondo is all about:
✔️ Facing challenges
✔️ Building confidence
✔️ Achieving what once felt impossible

A huge congratulations to 8th kup students = Tyson, Sudin, Haris, Araiz — this is just the beginning of your journey, and we’re proud of every one of you 👊

Keep training, keep pushing, and keep breaking through your limits.
