Grand Final Update | Men's Metro 5s

Our Metro 5s played their Grand Final on Saturday against New Farm - unfortunately, the match was abandoned with only a few minutes remaining, following a head injury to one of our players. At the time of the incident, the scores were locked at 0-0.

​Most importantly, we're relieved to share that Rolli has been released from hospital without major injury. We’re all wishing him a smooth and speedy recovery!

​The boys will be giving it everything to finish what they started. Get up there this Saturday and make some noise for the team!

Finals Football | Men's Masters

Two of our Men's Masters teams played finals football last night, with the Over 45s advancing to the Grand Final!

After a 2-2 draw against Mitchelton Mayhem, the Reds won 6-5 on penalties - congratulations on the great result!!

The Over 35’s Wood Ducks went down 2-0 to North Brisbane in a hard fought game. Well done on making it this far guys!

CHAMPIONS | MEN'S METRO 3

A massive congratulations to the Men's Metro 3s on their Grand Final victory, 3-1 against North Pine!

After falling behind early in the second half, the team showed tremendous spirit and teamwork to secure the win.

Well done to all of the players and the coaching team (Dan Sharpe & Liam O'Sullivan) on a great season and taking out the trophy!

A special thank you to everyone who came down to support the team, it's greatly appreciated 👏

Girls United Carnival Fun!

It was fantastic to see our team of Under 7s playing at the Girls United Carnival on Sunday.

The Carnival, played at The Gap, was a fun filled day showing just how far female participation has grown in the sport.

The Westside Grovely girls played brilliantly, showing great teamwork and determination in each of their three games.

Well done girls and thanks to Coach Chris for taking the team!

We are so pleased to see more female players joining our club each and every year, and hope to see even more representation across the age groups in 2027!

Finals Football | Men's Metro Results

Congratulations to our Men's Metro 3s and 5s on their semi-final wins, we cannot wait for the Grand Finals this weekend!

The 3s had an incredible game, winning 6-1 at Newmarket, including a Stephen Cannon hattrick. A huge performance that sets up a final against North Pine (Friday 6.15pm at Caboolture).

Another big win on the road saw the 5s beat The Gap 2-1 in a closely fought game that was a battle to the end. They'll play New Farm in their final (Saturday 7.15pm at Caboolture).

Unfortunately for the Metro 4s, 9s and 10s, they weren't able to secure the wins to make it through. Each team put in a tremendous effort - you should all be very proud of your season and the results achieved. We can't wait to see you back on the park in 2027.

We hope to see our Grand Finalists well supported this weekend. Please wear red if you are able to make it down to cheer the teams on!

Only one of these matches is at home - the Metro 4s on Sunday. All other teams will be playing away at the opposing team's fields.

Congratulations to everyone from the Metro 10s on an excellent season. They've secured finals football after coming 3rd in their league!

A special thanks to Jake for playing and keeping everything organised this year.

Well done to the lads on a successful season - they'll be taking on Narangba (away) at 4pm on Saturday.

Get down and cheer them on if you're available, good luck to everyone for the big game!
