It’s time for UNSW Ice Skating Society’s 2026 Annual General Meeting!! This year, we will be holding our AGM both in person and online on discord stage. The meeting will be held 4-6pm on 15th of September (Tuesday Week 1).

Feeling icy cold in the coming of winter? Feel iced out with Skate Soc and Ice Soc’s 3rd Annual Event series!! Join us during week 2 at Macquarie Ice Rink to beat boardem and skate alongside fellow skaters.

Pre-purchased tickets for the ice rink sessions are required and can be purchased via Rubric ticketing. The information can be easily found on Rubric on either SkateSoc or IceSoc pages. Note that ticket sales will end 30mins before the event starts (1:15 pm). Limited tickets available so get your tickets soon!!

🗓️ WHEN: Sunday 14th of June
📍 WHERE: Macquarie Ice Rink
⏰ TIME: 1:45 - 3:45pm (but come earlier to have enough time to put on skates)
🎟️ Cost: includes skate hire
$12 for Arc Members
$14 for Non-Arc Members (anyone who is not currently a UNSW Student)

What to bring: Gloves 🧤 , thick socks (the skates can dig in if poorly fitted) 🧦 and any protective gear that makes you feel more comfortable skating in!!

1:00pm - Begin Arriving at the rink (meetup location on the sofas in front of BUPA on lvl2)
1:30pm - Tickets will be scanned and participants collect skate hire
1:45pm - Skate and have fun!!
3:45pm - Session ends, participants return skates and meet at the foyer
4:00pm - Head off to dinner (location tbd)

Cost: $22 including skate hire (pay at the front to enter)

If you are coming from uni, it is recommended that you take 370 from High Street bus stops and get off one stop before Green Square Station. Otherwise, the rink is a 5 min walk from the station.

We will be holding an EGM on Wednesday 12th of November to make some changes to our constitution and open roles for anyone to take, especially the Welfare Officer position. Please join us at 7-7:30pm on Discord in the channel for this!! (If you’re not part of our discord server yet, the link is available in our bio!!)

We’d like to invite you to attend the UNSW Ice Skating Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect our new executive team! If you’re passionate about ice skating, working in teams and want to help our society reach new heights then you may want to consider filling one or two of our various executive roles.

If you do not wish to run for an executive role, we would still greatly appreciate it if you come along.

To run for an executive position, you must be a full IceSoc member, a current UNSW student and an Arc member. If you are interested in running for an executive position, please fill out the EOI form found in bio. Note that this is NOT an official nomination, and you should still turn up to the AGM to officially nominate yourself.

NOTE: 2026 New Executive Training will be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of November 2025 in-person at the Roundhouse. If you are nominating for an Executive position, please save these dates.

Additionally, Arc will be hosting a Clubs Leaders Welfare Training for 2026 Executives on the 20th of October 2025. If you are nominating for a Welfare, Grievance or EDI Officer role, please save these dates.

If you are unable to attend the AGM but would still like to run for a position, we recommend that you have a chat with one of our current execs, as we can arrange for someone to speak on your behalf.
