Well, August was a lot.
Can’t say it was one I’d particularly like to remember.
For a period there, I was genuinely quite afraid of myself. Things felt dark and scary, and I didn’t recognise myself.
But I’m proud of myself for listening to my body.
I took a break.
I found a wonderful gyno.
I stopped pushing through.
And, perhaps most importantly, I actually sat in the uncomfortable instead of trying to outrun it.
I’ve cried in class. Something that would previously have mortified me.
But I’m learning to own my vulnerability instead of hiding it.
There’s strength in admitting when you’re not okay. There’s strength in asking for help. And there’s strength in giving yourself permission to stop, feel it all, and find your way forward.
August was hard.
But I’m here. And I’m moving forward. 🤍

Writing this as I lie in bed after a 4.45pm dinner with Maeve, face mask on, fully embracing my current season of life.
These days I’m learning that movement doesn’t always have to leave you exhausted. Sometimes it’s about creating space. Space to breathe a little deeper, soften the nervous system, and come home to yourself.
Maybe that’s why I love Pilates so much. It’s never really been about chasing the hardest workout. It’s about feeling better when you leave than when you walked in.
And tonight? Early dinner. Early bed. Zero guilt. That feels like strength too. 🤍

Sunday.
A day that’s meant to feel slower… but rarely is.
You’re holding a lot — motherhood, business, partnership — constantly shifting between being needed and needing a moment to yourself.
Somewhere in between the family time, the mental load, and the never-ending to-do list, you try to carve out space. A breath. A stretch. A reset.
Not perfect balance. Just small pockets of calm where you can find them.
That’s enough 🤍
