🔵⚪ POINTS SHARED IN A 2-2 DRAW ⚪🔵

The Seniors were looking to bounce back after last week's disappointing result and got off to the perfect start, taking an early lead after Barnstoneworth turned the ball into their own net under pressure from Isaac's cross.

The remainder of the first half was an even contest. The boys had a strong shout for a penalty after a handball in the box, while Jordan produced some important saves at the other end to send us into the break 1-0 up.

We started the second half slowly and allowed Barnstoneworth back into the game, with a soft penalty call giving them the opportunity to level the scores.

They then took the lead after we couldn't clear our lines, allowing them to pounce on the second ball and make it 2-1.

The boys responded well and just seven minutes later Patty produced another screamer from outside the box, smashing his strike off the underside of the crossbar and into the net to make it 2-2. 🚀⚽

We pushed hard for the winner but couldn't find the finishing touch, with the points eventually shared.

The Reserves went down 3-1 in a tough contest where the boys were reduced to nine men. Delac continued his goalscoring form with a lovely finish, making it two weeks in a row on the scoresheet.

Both squads now turn their attention to next week as we look to finish the season on a high with two wins. 💪

🔵⚪ A TOUGH DAY FOR THE SENIORS ⚪🔵

A disappointing performance from the Seniors today, going down 3-0 to Laverton.

The boys were off the pace in the first half, conceding early and never really recovering. Laverton doubled their advantage not long after to take a 2-0 lead into the half-time break.

The boys improved after the restart but still couldn't find the rhythm needed to get themselves back into the contest. Laverton eventually added a third from the penalty spot to seal the 3-0 result.

A disappointing day, but the boys will regroup, put this one behind them and look to bounce back next week.

The Reserves returned to the winners list with a hard-fought 2-1 victory. Delac found the net with a lovely finish, while Joel got himself back on the scoresheet to help secure all three points.

🔵⚪ SENIORS BOUNCE BACK WITH A BIG WIN! ⚪🔵

The Seniors bounced back in emphatic fashion with a huge 5-1 win over Westside Strikers in what was a must-win game for the boys.

We started super fast and took the lead after just 3 minutes, with Fabian finishing off a great team move to give us the perfect start.

Patty doubled the lead in the 18th minute, getting on the end of a quality Hamish delivery with a trademark header at the back post to make it 2-0.

We dropped off a little and allowed Westside back into the contest, but the boys dug deep and kept them out to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

Just after half-time, Westside were awarded a penalty which they converted to make it 2-1.

That kicked the boys into another gear and we took control of the game. Another quality corner from Hamish found Patty, who headed home his second of the day to restore our two-goal advantage.

The fourth came after a great ball from Luka found Adrian Naso making the run. He rounded the keeper and calmly finished to make it 4-1.

Another dangerous Hamish corner was met by Martin, whose header forced a good save, but Patty was there to smash home the rebound and complete his hat-trick. 🎩⚽⚽⚽

Chris also had a goal ruled out for offside, while the boys had several other big chances to add to the scoreline. Jordan also produced an excellent double save late in the game.

A massive 5-1 victory and, more importantly, three crucial points when we needed them most. 💪

Unfortunately, the Reserves' fantastic unbeaten run came to an end with a narrow 1-0 defeat against the league leaders.

It was a close contest and the boys battled hard throughout but couldn't find the goal they needed. The result brings an end to an impressive 9-game unbeaten streak and a fantastic run of form from the Reserves.
