Our Golden Gloves campaign comes to an end with Sonny going down in a split decision in the 55kg Elite Open semi-final.

We are extremely proud of the way you boxed mate. A great performance on a big stage.

Losses like this can be incredibly disappointing, but we always operate with a growth mindset. Win or lose, there are always lessons to take away and opportunities to improve.

Congratulations to Sam Tubbs and his team from Tasmania, who progress through to tomorrow’s final. We wish them all the best.

Another great weekend of preparation for Sonny, with plenty of quality rounds banked.

A huge thank you to Marcos, Beau and the entire Peninsula Boxing team for making us feel so welcome and being incredibly accommodating. You blokes are absolute deadset legends.

Sonny got some excellent work in with the very classy Beau Piggott. They were honest, technical rounds that gave us plenty to take away and refine as we continue preparing.

Fighter Factory has a new Australian Champion.

Congratulations to Will on becoming Australian Champion after a tough, closely contested final against Andreus Malty from the Northern Territory. Credit to Andreus for an outstanding performance and a championship bout fought in great spirit. It was a high-quality contest that could have gone either way.

This achievement is a true team effort. Coach Frank and Coach John have had Will firing technically, Coach Cam has ensured the conditioning was there when it mattered most, and training partner Sonny has put in the extra rounds alongside Will every step of the way. Behind every champion is a team willing to put in the work, day after day.

Will has earned this moment through years of discipline, sacrifice and perseverance. Every early morning, every hard session and every challenge along the way has led to this.

We’re so bloody proud of Will and everyone who has been part of his journey. Fighter Factory has a new Australian Champion, and this is only the beginning.
