Ten years in business in the Pilbara is an achievement in itself. Through the challenges of running a regional business and an ever-changing retail landscape, Xtreme has continued to grow — creating local jobs, giving young people opportunities and, all the while, continuing to to the community that has backed them along the way.

Sporting clubs, Schools,Community groups, Events, Local initiatives..... the list of people and organisations Xtreme has supported over the past decade is ENORMOUS — and Northern Spirit is incredibly fortunate to be one of them.

WHAT A WEEKEND FOR BASKETBALL IN KARRATHA! 🏀❤️💛

Karratha certainly turned it on as the Perth Wildcats and Cairns Taipans for their NBL pre-season clash!

A huge shout-out to the City of Karratha team for the outstanding effort in delivering such a successful event. A packed house on Saturday afternoon created a fantastic atmosphere and was a credit to everyone involved. 👏

Our Northern Spirit Basketball Club Members were fortunate to experience the weekend from all angles — meeting players, enjoying the game from the stands, joining the court crew, and taking to the court for some of the game-day challenges.

A great opportunity and some fantastic memories made along the way!

Among the highlights was the opportunity to see Wildcats captain Jesse Wagstaff take the court in his record 18th NBL season, while Keanu Pinder had plenty of family support in the stands — including some familiar Northern Spirit faces. 💛

And with the announcement of the Wildcats Academy expanding into the Pilbara, the weekend delivered plenty to celebrate for basketball across our region.

WILDCATS FEVER HAS HIT KARRATHA! 🐾

With the Perth Wildcats taking on the Cairns Taipans in tomorrow’s pre-season game, our Northern Spirit Basketball Club members have been enjoying the community engagement activities happening across Karratha in the lead-up.

It has been fantastic to see our members making the most of these opportunities and the building throughout our community.

Players are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions for their age group.

Attending both sessions gives coaches the best opportunity to assess players and support fair and balanced team selections across all our Northern Spirit teams.

Important Information

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session for check-in.

• We encourage families to register prior to the event to assist with planning.

• Eligible for KidSport? Use your approved KidSport voucher when registering or apply now to help cover your club membership fees.

• Bring a labelled drink bottle and, if possible, a labelled basketball.

• Returning players are encouraged to wear their Northern Spirit reversible singlet or other club merchandise.

• Club merchandise will be available for both purchase and collection at the Skills, Drills & Team Selection events.
