π KARRATHA SQUASH CLUB β END OF YEAR SHENANIGANS NIGHT! π
What an absolute cracker of a night! Our final Shenanigans Fun Squash Night for the year brought together almost 40 players from across the Karratha community β including over 10 juniors who absolutely held their own on court!
The night was packed with organised chaos (in the best way possible), featuring:
π₯ Speed Squash
π‘ Wheel of Doom β Speed Squash Edition
πββοΈ The Chaser
For those who haven't experienced the Wheel of Doom, itβs one of the most entertaining formats we run, giving players either a punishment or a perk against or shared with the opponent. Some of these included:
β’ Playing with your left hand
β’ Using a 1950s wooden racquet
β’ Junior's ball or racquet
β’ Plus a few other βcreativeβ disadvantages π€£
The Chaser kept things spicy too, with lower-ranked players given a head start before the higher-ranked players came charging after them. One of the highlights was Steph Collins vs Durand β a huge comeback from Steph who, even with her handicap, proved sheβs simply a much better squash player than Durandβ¦ sorry mate, the scoreboard never lies π
We also had a stack of prizes to give away, making the night even more exciting for players of all levels.
π A massive thank you to our sponsors for supporting this event:
β’ Mitre 10 Karratha (major sponsor)
β’ Home Hardware Karratha (major sponsor)
β’ Compass Group β Bay Village Karratha (long-term club partner)
β’ Edge Karratha
β’ Harvey Norman Karratha
β’ Subway Karratha
Your support is genuinely appreciated and helps us continue delivering events that bring our squash community together. π»
Thank you to everyone who played, supported or simply came down to enjoy the chaos.
We canβt wait to see you all at the next Shenanigans Night! ππΈ
