Dear Members,
I hope this message finds you well.
After serving as your Public Relations Coordinator for the past ten years, I am writing to formally announce my decision to step down from my position on the committee.
It has been an absolute honor and privilege to serve in this role over the past decade. Working alongside such dedicated, passionate, and supportive members has been a truly rewarding experience. Together, we have achieved many milestones, strengthened our community, and continued to grow in meaningful ways.
I am deeply grateful for the trust, collaboration, and encouragement you have extended to me throughout my tenure. Your commitment and teamwork have made my role both impactful and fulfilling.
While it is time for me to pass the torch to new leadership, I remain confident in the continued success and progress of the committee. I look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the years ahead.
I also want to let you know that I have decided to completely step away from playing volleyball. This was not an easy decision for me to make. Volleyball has been something I truly love, and walking away from the sport is going to be very hard.
However, after giving it a lot of thought, I believe this is the right decision for me at this time. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences, lessons, friendships, and memories that volleyball has given me. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve and for your unwavering support over the last ten years.
Regards,
Chatthip Buenaflor (Goong)

Hi everyone,
We held our AGM last night. At this stage, we’re still finalising a few executive roles, so the plans for the upcoming season haven’t been confirmed yet.
We are urgently seeking nominations and encourage anyone interested to put their hand up.
Without committee members, there is no volleyball 😢
The following positions need to be filled:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Public Relations Coordinator
Pathway Officer
Hurry, send through your expression of interest as soon as possible.
Please bear with us, an update will be posted within the next three weeks.
Cheers,
Goong 😉
Hi all,
NWVA AGM venue has been changed to the Karratha Golf Club commencing at 5 pm this Friday 13/2/26.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but due to issues with availability of the planned location alternate arrangements were required.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
Cheers Goong 😉
Dear Members,
We will be holding our AGM for the past year and kicking off the new year in one fell swoop on Friday 13th Feb at 5pm at the DSR meeting room in the Karratha Leisureplex.
All past, present and future members are welcome. Any changes to this event timeline will be transmitted via our page.
We are now calling for nominations for all Executive Committee roles for the 2026 season.
As per our constitution/governance structure, all executive positions are declared vacant at the end of each season, and current office holders are required to step down. This provides all members with the opportunity to nominate themselves or others for leadership roles for the upcoming season.
Nominations are invited for all executive positions, including but not limited to:
• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Rules Interpreter
• Public Relation Co-Ordinator
• Pathway Development Officer
• Committee Members
If you are interested in nominating yourself or another eligible member, please submit your nomination by 3rd Feb to [email protected]
Further details regarding role descriptions, election procedures, and timelines will be shared as part of the nomination and election process.
We strongly encourage members to consider getting involved and contributing to the continued success of the organisation.
I would also like to highlight that the positions of President, Public Relations Co-Ordinator and Rules Interpreter shall not be refilled by the current members as they will be unavailable for these roles going forward. I strongly suggest that members do all they can to ensure that a strong new committee is put together to ensure continued success with the NWVA.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Regards,
Chris Cowan
