We have seen several references to the Karratha BMX Club being referred to as the Karratha 'Fleetwood' BMX Club. Can anyone shed some light?

We all know BMX is a family affair...
Check out the extended Kirkwood family of 7 boys racing at the club in 2013. This year the Kirkwood family has been associated with the club for 15 years with the eldest boys starting racing in 2006.

We'd love to hear from anyone who was involved in setting up the club in those early years or who was one of the 200 riders who raced at the club each week in the early 80's!

Did you know that the Karratha BMX Club will celebrate 40 years of racing in 2021?

We are calling on all past members to share their stories, photos, memorabilia, newspaper cutouts etc... what have you got in the back of the cupboard or in the shed gathering dust?? We'd love to see!

On completion of the project we would like to produce a club history website including a club overview, timeline of event, lists of past members, awards winners, club presidents & life members as well as a digital archive of photos, memorabilia and articles for future generations of club members to enjoy - and for those oldies amongst us to reminisce!

Please share with anyone who may have had an involvement with the club at any stage in the past.
