Undulating and unsuspecting, the par 66 course is a challenge like no other. Private golf course, open to the public and our members.

Karana Downs has officially begun thawing out, and just in time for ALBA Japanese Food Truck tonight from 5pm at Brisbane River Golf Club.

They’ll be serving up their incredible handmade Japanese food, including crispy karaage chicken and dumplings that make sharing feel like an entirely unreasonable expectation.

The weather is warmer, we’ve got live music, the bar is stocked with cold drinks, and nobody needs to cook. A remarkably efficient way to deal with Friday night.

Come down from 5pm, find yourself a spot and enjoy the increasingly suspicious appearance of spring.

See you tonight at BRGC.

As the course continues its transformation, we’ve made a few important updates to our Local Rules to help protect the work being done, keep everyone safe and make sure the course stays heading in the right direction.

There are new rules around golf carts, protected areas and greenkeeping ropes, along with the recently introduced Mandatory Green Clearance rule on Hole 17 and the Residential Safety rule on Hole 4.

So before you tee off, have a quick read of the current Local Rules. There are a few more things to remember these days, but thankfully “hit it straight” still isn’t one of them.

The improvements are coming thick and fast at BRGC, and we’re pretty excited about where the course is heading.

Scan the QR code below to go straight to the Local Rules.

Winter is nearly over, Karana Downs is beginning to thaw out, and we can all slowly return to pretending we’re outdoorsy people again.

ALBA Japanese Food Truck is back at Brisbane River Golf Club this Friday from 5pm, serving up their incredible handmade Japanese favourites, including dumplings and crispy karaage chicken.

The weather is warming up, the evenings are getting nicer, and the cold drinks at the bar have somehow remained completely unaffected by this seasonal development.

We’ll also have live music, plenty of spots to settle in, and absolutely no requirement for anyone to cook dinner or deal with the consequences of cooking dinner.

Come hungry. Ordering extra dumplings for the table and then eating most of them yourself is between you and your conscience.

See you Friday from 5pm at BRGC.

Roamin' Pizza is rolling into Brisbane River Golf Club TONIGHT from 5pm, which means you can officially abandon whatever responsible dinner plans you were pretending to have.

The woodfired oven will be firing, with their crowd-favourite Chicken & Bacon back on the menu, along with the incredible Smoky BBQ Pulled Brisket with caramelised red onion, jalapeños, garlic aioli and BBQ drizzle. Basically, a fairly convincing argument against cooking.

We’ll have live music, the outdoor heaters going and the bar fully stocked with all your favourite drinks.

Come down, grab a pizza, find a warm spot and enjoy your Friday night.

No cooking. No dishes. No regrets about ignoring the contents of your fridge.

From 5pm tonight at Brisbane River Golf Club.

Brisbane River Golf Club is looking for a school-aged junior to join us for a few hours on weekends and earn themselves some extra pocket money.

The job is pretty straightforward — washing golf carts, helping keep them tidy and heading out with a backpack air blower to blow leaves and debris from the greens.

We’re looking for someone reliable, happy to work outdoors and not afraid of a little bit of work. No experience needed — we’ll show you what to do.

It would be a great little weekend job for a local teenager looking to earn some money, get some work experience and still have plenty of their weekend left.

If you know a young person who might be interested, please send Brisbane River Golf Club a message or contact the Club via email at [email protected]

Annual Ladies Day returns to BRGC on Saturday 29 August, and we’re looking forward to another great day celebrating the women of Brisbane River Golf Club and our visiting players.

Ladies Day is an open Single Stableford competition and will run alongside our normal Saturday Stableford. A separate tee sheet has been created for ladies wishing to take part in the Annual Ladies Day competition, with special tee times reserved so everyone can book and play together as part of the event.

As always, there will be some great prizes up for grabs, including the honour of having the winner’s name added to our incredible purple resin and wood Yvonne Kergan Ladies Day trophy, proudly displayed in the clubhouse.

There will also be extra special prizes for the ladies, generously donated by Al Aburn on behalf of the family, continuing a wonderful tradition that adds something special to the day each year.

And, of course, there is the purple. If you have a purple golf shirt, skirt, hat, socks or anything else hiding in the wardrobe, this is the day to bring it out. We’d love to see as many of our ladies as possible wearing purple and getting into the spirit of the occasion.

Visitors are very welcome, so bring along a friend, get your group together and join us for Annual Ladies Day at BRGC on Saturday 29 August.

Bookings are now open on the dedicated Ladies Day tee sheet.

Winter has a funny way of convincing us that cooking is overrated.

Roamin' Pizza is rolling into Brisbane River Golf Club this Friday from 5pm with woodfired pizzas so good you'll suddenly forget everything in your fridge.

They'll be bringing back their crowd favourite Chicken & Bacon AND their incredible Smoky BBQ Pulled Brisket pizza eith caramelised red onion, jalapenos, garlic aioli and BBQ drizzle.
