Ex Army tradie trying to stay out of trouble. Ex Army Apprentice, now racing and using the car primarily for a veteran support program Raemus Rover Racing.

Physically can't work anymore so I tinker on this, it keeps me off the streets.

Here's the moment we lost 22 minutes thanks to the steering heim pulling threads. Lesson learnt, this part has a 2yr life, then change it before it fails. Trackside repairs were effective finishing the heat and event, driving it back onto the trailer.

Just home now after an epic 3500km trip racing in the GUNDY 500 . We had an awesome event, car ran great, our race preparation had paid off.
Best of luck to Conroy Devine and navigator, after a nasty crash.
Yet again , when I suffer a mechanical failure Corey Aldridge just so happens to capture it. Trackside repairs ( we lost about 15 minutes ) . The threads on the steering arm pulled out of the heim, crossed threaded it back in for the fix, on our last lap.
Thanks goes to the Gun Plumber Racing team and the Raemus Rover Off-Road Racing team we all worked seamlessly.
Ended up 4th in class for the Qld championship points.

It's been a HUGE week, we travelled over 3500km, raced in the National championship event, and drove the car back into the trailer. Pics, vids and words to come in a few days. Massive thanks to the awesome Gun Plumber Racing team, such a great effort.

We've been very quiet on the socials because we've been very busy in the workshop. The parts shown don't prove how much, repair, machining and serving has been done since the Burdekin race. New hubs, bearings, axles, repaired shocks, rear control arm bushes, rear pivots and lots more.

Busy day in the workshop, lathe work machining damaged hubs, making custom weld washers for the rear arm pivot bolts and machining a custom chain tensioner for the neighbour.

We were travelling really well on Saturday, after prologue 11th, we had trouble in heat 1 but still managed to be in 12th outright.

The damage from last weekends Gundy 250, didn't stop us finishing all laps. Now it's time to talk with Kartek Off Road for all the good parts to repair the car in time for the Burdekin 300. I'm gunna need some new Mickey Thompson Tires Australia for the girl.

The race was awesome, finally really feeling the car is getting there. The bent arm never felt bad whilst racing, but now in the light of day it doesn't look great. Still came away with 2nd in class against a quality field, now the bills start coming in.

Car is loaded, only needing to do smaller stuff tomorrow before we're off to the Gundy 250. This time I have an ex Infantry soldier as my first time navi, it's gundy what's to be concerned about?

Many thanks to Jason Wilson for helping getting the car back together and the NQ Raemus crew as well. The rebuilt Weddle Industries transmission, feels as smooth as silk thanks to Marson Race Transmissions. Just a 2 day road trip to go.
