2026 Golden Mile Challenge

We are at our home track this weekend at Kalgoorlie. Nathan will be hopping in the #66 BirelArt KZ2 kart this weekend with TM-R2 power by Anarchy Kartsport. Only a small field and will be good to get more laps down as we develop ourselves in this category.

Stay tuned for updates. We have practice Friday, qualifying and heats from 8am Saturday, and the finals Sunday morning.

🏁 CARNIVAL OF KARTS – WEEKEND RECAP 🏁
What a rollercoaster weekend at Tiger Kart Club Wanneroo for the 2026 Carnival of Karts.

Friday practice was a challenging start, with the kart not quite where we needed it to be. We spent the day working through a number of setup changes and gradually found improvements session by session. By the end of the day the pace was heading in the right direction and we were feeling much more confident heading into race day.

Qualifying:
saw us secure P4 with a fastest lap of 48.014. While the kart still wasn’t exactly where we wanted it, it was enough to put us in a strong position for the heats.

Heat 1: P4 Fastest Lap: 46.956
A solid opening heat where we were able to stay competitive and continue learning about the kart and track conditions.

Heat 2: P4 Fastest Lap: 47.492
Another consistent run. We kept ourselves in the fight and maintained our position heading into the final heat.

Heat 3: DNF
Unfortunately our weekend took a turn in Heat 3. After showing promising pace throughout the event, we were forced to retire and recorded a DNF. Not the result we wanted, but motorsport can be cruel sometimes.

FINAL: P3
Despite the setback, the team dug deep and bounced back when it mattered most. We fought hard in the Final and came away with a podium finish, securing P3.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped throughout the weekend, especially CRS Racing and my family. While we know there’s more pace to unlock, we’re proud to leave Carnival of Karts with a trophy and plenty of positives to build on.

Round 1 of the WA State Series at Albany for the Southern Sprint is done and dusted. It was a challenging weekend for us in KZ2, but still a good learning experience to start the season.

Qualifying didn’t go to plan after a rear hub snapped, which unfortunately put us on the back foot early. The team worked hard to get everything repaired and back on track, but the issues didn’t stop there.

In Heat 1 we suffered a clutch failure, forcing us to come in and sort it out before the next session. The crew managed to repair the clutch, but it meant we were unable to do standing starts for the remainder of the weekend, which is obviously a big disadvantage in KZ2.
Despite the setbacks, we kept pushing and gathered some valuable data heading into the next round.

Heat 2 was about making the best of the situation. Without being able to launch off the line like the rest of the field, we focused on settling into a rhythm and bringing the kart home while learning the track and setup around the issues we were dealing with.

Heat 3 was a similar story. Starting on the back foot made it difficult to move forward, but we kept pushing and continued gathering valuable data while staying consistent on track.

Heading into the Final, the goal was simply to finish the weekend strong and bring the kart home clean. Despite the earlier setbacks, we managed to get through the race and finish out the round third overall, gaining more experience in the KZ2 field.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped get the kart back out there each session, weekends like this show how important the team around you really is.

We’ll regroup, fix the issues, and come back stronger for the next one.

Nathan Lee will race TAG with JDP Group x Lenzo Kart in 2026

Locked in. Focused. Ready to fight

Season 2026 has kicked off.

Nathan had the KZ2 out for some laps with the IAME Screamer on board. Was good to to get it run in and some laps under our belt. It’s a whole new ball game and learning curve but one we are excited for. Will be running the KZ2 in the WA State Series this year, hopefully it pulls some numbers. Would be awesome to see good fields of KZ’s on track again in WA. The first of the state rounds is in Albany in 4 weeks.

And the Australian Karting Championship isn’t far off either, first round is mid March at Coffs Harbour. We will be in a Lenzo kart this year with KartForce tuned engines running the TAG class inside the factory backed JDP Group tent.

Nathan will race the 5 round Australian Kart Championship, the 7 round WA State Karting Series, City of Melbourne and City of Perth Titles, EGKC Club Championship, and the WA State Championship.
