Alex Vlahos previews another big week of country racing across Western Australia, with attention turning to the Newman Cup, the start of the Kununurra season and the Tattersalls Club Cup in Kalgoorlie.

This week, Alex catches up with East Pilbara Race Club Secretary Em Parker ahead of Saturday's Newman Cup. With six races on the program, Fashions on the Field, live entertainment and hopes of attracting more than 1,000 people trackside, Em discusses why it is one of the most anticipated days on the town's calendar.

We also hear from Kununurra Race Club Treasurer Chelsea Kenny as preparations ramp up for the club's carnival. Chelsea previews this weekend's Slipper Sprint and next week's Kununurra Cup, highlights the region's scenic racecourse and explains why crowd favourites like the famous Un**es Run have become a key part of the carnival experience.

Rounding out the show is Goldfields Tattersalls Club President Krishane Warren ahead of this weekend's Tattersalls Club Cup and the rapidly approaching Kalgoorlie Race Round. Krishane shares the rich history of the Goldfields-based social and sporting club, its 500 members, and its longstanding partnership with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Racing Club that stretches back more than a century.
