👏 We are proud to introduce you all to Antonio who is joining our Team from
Term 4!

𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲…
👋 I’m Antonio, originally from Argentina. I’ve been living in Australia for the past year and a half, enjoying exploring the country, meeting new people and experiencing a different lifestyle. I’m a Business Administration graduate and was working professionally in Argentina before coming to Australia. Sport has always been a big part of my life, especially tennis 🎾 and soccer ⚽️ , and I’m really excited to continue sharing my passion for the game here.

▪️𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 & 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆?
I started playing tennis as a kid with some of my primary school friends. During the pandemic, I started helping a friend with his tennis lessons while also working professionally. That’s how I discovered how much I enjoyed coaching and helping other people enjoy the game.

▪️𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?
I played competitive tennis in Argentina and had the opportunity to compete in national-level tournaments. One of the things I’m most proud of from my tennis journey is the friendships I made through the sport, some of which I still have today.

▪️𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 & 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?
I’ve also coached other sports, including soccer, and started helping with tennis lessons during the pandemic. For me, the most rewarding part of coaching is seeing people have a good time, improve their skills and enjoy the experience enough to want to come back.

▪️𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀?
I enjoy going to the gym, reading books, travelling and playing and watching different sports.

▪️𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮?
I think it’s an amazing opportunity to continue my coaching journey in a different country, meet new people and share what I’ve learned through tennis. I’m also looking forward to learning every day and continuing to grow as a coach.

Term 4 2026 Fuel to Go & Play Kalbarri Tennis Coaching Program

6 week program to be delivered by Remote Tennis Services Australia in conjunction with the Kalbarri Tennis Club and supported by Tennis West & Healthway Fuel to Go & Play grant funding.

Good evening KTC members.
As the winter days are becoming shorter (and colder) we are going to change the start time of social tennis to 4.30 pm for the remainder of winter starting tomorrow!
Social tennis days are still on Wednesday and Friday for the time being.
Tarcoola Park tennis club are running a tennis tournament at the end of the month. See the flyer for details and either enter via their contacts or I can enter for you.
If anyone is interested we could probably car pool to Geraldton as well, let me know 👍

Kalbarri Tennis Club held our annual Pickled Occy Cup tournament yesterday afternoon in amazing weather and our biggest attendance since the tournament began!
We had 25 participants. 7 from Kalbarri and 18 from Geraldton.
Also it is the first time we have had both men’s and women’s divisions competing in the same tournament!
The winners on the day were…
Women’s
Marzi Piazzoli and Shauna Scott.
Runners Up
Stacey Ertzen and Lorelle Young.
3rd place
Daisy Elliot and Sharon Laing

Luke Ertzen and Peter S.

We then held a pickled occy auction and raised $200 for the club.
Followed by an amazing surf and turf dinner and a few drinks around the campfire!

It’s that time of the year again when we run the Pickled Occy Cup and invite our members and members of Tarcoola Park Tennis Club and Geraldton Tennis Center to come along and have a great day and night at our courts.
