WELCOME TO THE KADINA GOLF CLUB
This challenging 18 hole sand green golf course was established in 1904 and is very proud to be known as an inaugural member of the SA Golf Association. Having hosted a recent PGA Legends Tour Pro-Am and The SA Sandgreens on two occasions it is considered to be one of the finest golf courses in the Copper Triangle and the Yorke Peninsula. The Club is very proactive in promoting the participation in the fine sport of golf and welcomes both visitors and newcomers alike. With a modern clubhouse, including full kitchen facilities and full bar facilities on Competition Days the Kadina Golf Club is a very sociable and enjoyable place to either play golf or hold your next social engagement.

Great day to finish our wonderful season of golf at Kadina. We started the day with a 2 person pinehurst competition using only 3 sticks. Congrats to Brenton Brind and Bronte Bruce winning. We then had the presentation of awards followed by a lovely pooled tea.

REMINDER THIS SUNDAY! Join us to celebrate the fantastic year we have had at the club. Sunday 27th September we are starting the day with 2 Person Pinehurst Competition from 10.30 for 11am start. To make it more interesting we are only allowing 3 sticks each, so leave the rest home. Teams will be picked randomly on the day. Then bring a plate either Sweet or Savoury and get the family to join for a pooled Tea. Presentations around 4.30 if you don’t want to play. Let’s celebrate the great year we have had and enjoy one last hit before we close for Summer.

SCANIA AUSTRALIA Ambrose Day.
On Sunday we held our annual Ambrose day kindly sponsored by SCANIA. With 21 teams competing it was a tight finish with some great scores and several count backs.
Thanks to our club members for all your help. Thanks to Fred Olinger and Des Waters and family for cooking the BBQ and helping out. Paul Spurling and Niki Wheeler and family for drinks cart and Brindy, Mat and Liz as general runarounds. The sandwich ladies. Last but not least our ever reliable bar person Souso who is always there. Much appreciation to you all.

Busy day today with our charity’s day in aid of Dementia so we all wore purple. Our day started with a minute silence for the passing of our life member Pat Evans. Nicole and Carrie played the final for the Laurel Wreath with Carrie being successful on the 19th! Great game ladies, Carrie also had NTP on both #6 and #14, well done. Ros Rawson won the day and the Newbery Chemist voucher with a very impressive 41pts. Div 1 winner was Desra and Div 2 was Nat both with 38pts. Julie Philbey won the 9 holes with 17pts. Helen had a chip out but that was all that counted in the birdies/chipout department! We wished Sharon Millard a very happy Birthday and we raised $234 for Dementia. Next week we are having a road trip!!! To finish our fabulous year we are off to the Links course of Alford to try our luck conquering its challenges and their rules!!

In glorious weather and on a fantastic looking course today’s winner was Graham East 41 points beating his age by 3 strokes off the stick. A grade Aron Raymond 39 B grade B Brind 38 C grade Dave Oleary 38. Irish stableford 123 points Jim Smith Bronte Baker Steve Solomom Marty Terrett also Alan Frost shot under his age off the stick, well done guys! Hope to see many tomorrow for our Scania Aust. day Ambrose.
