Congratulations to our six Queensland athletes selected in the extended Australian Gems squad ahead of the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia! Cheyenne Bobongie, Jemyma Manyok, Lily Mapp, Olivia Olechnowicz, Jade Sherrington, Isabel Smith.

The athletes will attend a selection camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in September, with the final 12 to be selected ahead of the tournament in October.

A fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the talent developing through the Queensland basketball pathway.

Ipswich Basketball is proud to congratulate Ipswich Force guard Will Mahoney on his selection in the Australian Under-23 men’s 3x3 team.

The selection caps an outstanding NBL1 North season in which Will played an important role in the Force’s run to the 2026 Grand Final.

Will will now pull on the green and gold at the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League in Singapore, with qualification for the Under-23 World Cup on the line.

A fantastic achievement for Will and a proud moment for the entire Ipswich Basketball community.

From the Force to the Hawks — congratulations, Lamar Patterson! 🖤❤️

Following a huge NBL1 North campaign with Ipswich, LP has signed with the Illawarra Hawks on a one-year injury replacement deal for NBL27, pending NBL approval.

After helping lead the Force to the 2026 NBL1 North Grand Final while averaging 23.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, Lamar has earned another opportunity on the national stage.

The role includes supporting referees, promoting a safe and positive environment, conflict resolution, first aid responsibilities, court safety and ensuring our Code of Conduct is upheld.
