There is something incredibly special about working with families who, even in the midst of grief, choose to create hope for others. Every day, we meet people who have experienced the devastating impact of heart disease firsthand and are determined to help create a future where fewer families have to endure the same heartbreak.

Recently, James's family generously created an in-memory fundraiser to support research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

They shared this message with us:

"On the 24th Jan 2026, we lost our beloved husband, father, father-in-law, poppy and friend to many, to an undetected heart condition. We want to bring awareness to heart health and in doing so, we hope that raising money to assist with further research will help prevent this from happening to another family in the future. James's family would like to thank the wider community for their support and generosity, particularly Brothers Old Boys Ipswich, who have gone above and beyond. 💙🤍"

To James's family, thank you. Your kindness, generosity and determination to turn heartbreak into hope is truly inspiring. Thank you for allowing us to be part of James's legacy. In his memory, you are helping fund research that has the potential to save lives, protect families and bring us closer to a future where fewer families have to say goodbye too soon.
