Many of us see anger as wrong, and something to be hidden or ashamed of. However, its purpose is often to alert us to something important that needs to be addressed and processed. We can then learn to channel it in ways that provide healthier relief, and are aligned with who we would like to be.

Good counselling shouldn't aim to erase pain or have us forget about it. When we process pain effectively, we can find ways to carry it forward with confidence, and know that we can find strength in it whenever it revisits us
