Virtual Cuppa Time for Dementia - Thursday 8th October 2026

Right now, in Australia, 446,500 Australians are living with dementia, and 1.7 million people are involved in their care.

I’ll be hosting a virtual Cuppa Time for Dementia, to help make a meaningful difference. Every virtual cuppa poured raises awareness, reduces stigma and funds critical services for those affected by dementia.

Our virtual Cuppa Time is a small act with a big impact helping to create a world where no one faces dementia alone.

All donations are tax deductible.

Friends, let's change the future of dementia. Let's act together with a cuppa. I'm helping to create a Dementia-Friendly Future by raising awareness and hosting a Cuppa Time for Dementia. “Blowies” Triumph Again.

Blowfly Cricket, knows boundaries, to them, don’t exist.
Autism’s, a condition, of life - not a sentence!
A recent situation’s creation, dispelled their limitations.
Helped show, a developing, independence.

A barbeque, was scheduled, with few volunteers.
Hot plate, was as dirty, as Sin
Mark the Shark and his “Blowies,” couldn’t do, what we know is,
beyond what, those assembled, could do.

But Mark, then convinced them, that they were volunteers.
In earnest, they took to, their tasks.
BBQ plate, it was cleaned. Sausages cooked, where it seemed,
they hadn’t the skills. Shouldn’t ask.

For years, they’ve been told, what they, couldn’t do.
Their protection, was why there, were rules.
But, it’s the doing, what they yearn. Mistakes, help us, learn.
Cotton wool - it just treats us, as fools!

End of the day, all were happy, and proud of, their deeds.
Barriers erected. That’s not what, defines them.
Life’s a challenge for all. “Blowies” answered the call.
