A diverse group of masters swimmers, aged 16+ with good swimming skills but striving for improvement and fitness, celebrating the need to enjoy swimming on a regular basis both in the pool and our oceans.

Surf sports is about much more than competition. It helps our members build the fitness, skills, confidence and teamwork that underpin rescue-ready lifesavers and stronger clubs across Tasmania.

A huge thank you to all of our Tomato Swim buddies, families, work colleagues, mates and supporters who once again got behind our fundraising campaign for Variety the Children's Charity TAS & Variety Spin4Kids.
Overall the 18 teams involved raised an amazing $64,724, of that the Tomatoes Swim Club raised $8,967! finishing 2nd on the fundraising leaderboard, just behind The Beach Boys on $10,806. (And if you looked closely, there was a pretty strong Tomato Lyndall, helping rack up the kilometres in that team too! 😉🍅)
On the bike, our team delivered an impressive 141 km of pedal power, and a special Tommies shout out goes to our amazing coaching team, Sheila and Peter, their experience was obvious and invaluable as they shared the riding shoes (1 pair between 3 ladies), kept the bikes perfectly adjusted, and coordinated our relay strategy throughout the five hours wrangling Doug, Rob, Amity, Sophie and Kelly, with one more special thank you to all the visitors that took the time to pop in, give us some love and words of encouragement, one in particular chose to stick around and lock in much needed kms, thanks Helen!
♥️Most importantly, every dollar raised will help Variety continue supporting children across Tasmania who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability.
Thank you to everyone who donated, cheered us on, rode alongside us, or helped in any way. Your generosity and support make a real difference, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of such a strong hilarious 🍅 community !
