Our Mountain Run 25km, presented by Cascade Brewery Co. is probably one of the most challenging and rewarding race courses you’ll ever do🙌

🌄A classic summit-return mountain run, that takes you through both Aboriginal and colonial history.

🍃Through captivating and diverse landscapes, with spectacular views out over Hobart and the Derwent River.

This 25km course (which can also be hiked in our Mountain Walk 25km) offers steep ups and downs, technical trail sections to test your agility, very runnable (and hikable) and flowing sections 👌

🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️It’s perfect for people with some decent trail runs under their belt (like our Foothills 9km or 14km), as well as road runners who like the distance and a challenge.

⛰️ If you’re looking for (trail running) heaven, this is it. Our Ultra Solo 66km 👌

It involves climbing and descending almost 4,000m - the equivalent of three times up and down Kunanyi 😮

For those who love big days on the trails, there's nowhere quite like it. Run along the famous and iconic Organ Pipes Track, traverse the alpine plateau, weave through ancient snow gums and towering eucalypts, splash through a river crossing, through a rainforest, scramble over technical terrain, and soak up views that will stay with you long after event day.

👌Our Foothills events, presented by Kieser Australia, have become a clear family favourite, with 5km, 9km and 14km options; meaning there’s something for almost everyone!

🥾👟You can run or hike the Foothills 5km and Foothills 9km.

🏆In 2027, we’ll also see some of Australia’s speediest mountain runners join us because the Foothills 14km is the Classic Up and Downhill for Mountain Running event (Open), as part of the Australian Mountain and Trail Running Championships, while the Foothills 9km is the Under 20 Classic Up and Downhill Mountain Running event.

🍃The Foothills courses allow you to be totally immersed in the mountain, running past lush, green ferns, and over creek crossings where you can admire the beautiful historic stone work. You’ll hike up through dry sclerophyll eucalypt forest which tower above.

🎉 Wow! Our Alpine Marathon and Mountain Run/Walk Early Bird allocation has now been fully claimed!

This year, we've introduced a 50-entry Early Bird allocation for each event, and the Alpine Marathon, presented by , was the first to reach that limit 😮 The Mountain Run/Walk 25km has now too.

📣Standard pricing is now in effect for these events, and several of the other events aren't far behind!

So if you've been thinking about entering, now is the time to secure your spot before the remaining Early Bird allocations are snapped up.

💳We also offer Afterpay across all of our KMR events, so you can spread the rego cost over time. We know that the cost of living is a real challenge for many people, and we hope this makes it a little easier to get to the start line 🫶
