2025 AKF National Championships in Adelaide: Saturday results for Kimekai.

It felt like the day began a little slow as our athletes couldn’t quite get the gold.

🥇That 1st gold came after lunch in the Team Childrens Male Kumite of which Ryutaro, Lachlan and Daniel were part of; then
🥇to Regis in Kumite Male Juniors Open
🥈Thomas Kumite Male u21 years -67kg
🥈Liam Kumite Male Cadets -63kg
🥈Darden Kumite Male Cadets +70kg
🥈Ben Kumite Male Senior-75kg
🥉Jelena Kumite Female Seniors -61kg
🥉Regis Kumite Male Juniors -76kg
🥉Darden Kumite Male Cadets Open
🥉Thomas Kumite Male Seniors -67kg
and finially, the most exciting event for parents: 🥉Team Children Female Kumite with Chloe and Zhara: a win against SA, a loss to WA and the win against Qld.

Well done to all.
A special mention to Lina, Renee, Ethan, Taiyo, Tasman, Luke and Ricardo for gaining valuable mat time.

Jayshan’s Mum, Lunes gave up valuable time for marshalling duties.

Our Kimekai tally is 8 gold; 9 silver and 7 bronze.

2025 AKF National Championships in Adelaide: Friday results for Kimekai

A fantastic and often nail biting rounds as Kimekai put their best on display.

The morning started with precision in the Children Sync Kata Team taking gold 🥇with Ryutaro which was quickly followed by a “cool calm and collected” Victoria as she took gold 🥇in Female Veterans 35-45years.
Taishiro matched it with the best with 🥇Male u12 years; Lenny with silver 🥈and Ryutaro bronze 🥉both in Male Kata u14 years.

🥇Gold Solomon Aki in a very tight contest. Going down to the last few seconds in his semi, Solomon put everything into the final to win 9-1 with 26 seconds still on the clock!

Mum peacefully closed her eyes for the last time on Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home.

She was 94 years old and lived a life giving love and enjoyment to those around her. Born at Bo'ness Harden NSW, she raised her family in Cootamundra and later moved to Bethanga, Victoria, where she built her dream home with her husband. She enjoyed her years there.

A beautiful lady now resting.
