A huge thank you to the Brisbane Bullets Academy team for spending 3 fantastic days in Hervey Bay during the school holidays.

From action-packed player clinics to introducing new juniors to the game we love, the energy and enthusiasm this weekend was outstanding. 🙌

🏀 coach.olly also hosted another incredible Coaches Clinic, where our coaches learnt valuable concepts around pace and space across the U12 through to U16/U18 age groups.

As Coach Olly always says, “For every coaches clinic I run, every coach who attends means another 8 players will benefit.” 👏 We couldn’t agree more!!

💜🌪️ So Proud of Our U14 Hurricanes Girls! 🌪️💜

Our girls have wrapped up big week at the Sunshine Coast QLD State Championships. 🏀

While the wins didn’t come this time, these girls played with heart 💜, never stopped encouraging each other 📣, and represented Hervey Bay with pride every time they stepped on the court.

For many, this was their very first representative experience, and what a journey it was! 💜 New friendships, lifelong memories, plenty of laughs, loud cheers, and of course… as much purple hair glitter as possible! ✨💜

Their resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship and smiles are what made this week such a success.

We’re incredibly proud of every one of you. Hold your heads high, Hurricanes! The future is bright. 💜🌪️

The Hervey Bay Basketball Association would like to wish our U14 Girls Hurricanes the very best of luck as they travel to the Sunshine Coast to compete in the Basketball Queensland U14 Girls State Championships.

This is the pinnacle representative event for U14 basketball in Queensland, and we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, hard work and commitment these girls have shown to earn their place on the court.

Play hard, play together, back each other every step of the way, and enjoy every moment of the experience. Whether it’s your first State Championships or your last in the U14s, make memories that will last a lifetime.

The Hervey Bay Basketball Association, in conjunction with the Brisbane Bullets, is pleased to host a FREE Coaching Clinic facilitated by Coach Olly.

This clinic is perfect for new and experienced coaches, as well as parents, who want to learn how to teach junior players the fundamentals of basketball through fun, skill-based drills.

Coach Olly is returning after the outstanding success of his first coaching clinic, and we're excited to welcome him back. We encourage anyone interested in developing their knowledge of junior basketball fundamentals to attend this fantastic FREE clinic.

🏀 U14 Queensland State Championships | Day 2 Wrap Up 💜🩵

Day 2 in Cairns brought another challenging day of basketball for our Hervey Bay Hurricanes U14 Boys, with both teams continuing to show resilience, determination and the true Hurricanes spirit.

💜 Purple Division 2 fought hard across both games, opening the day with a strong 76-47 win over Mackay before pushing South Coast Phoenix all the way in a competitive contest, going down 67-56.

🩵 Teal Division 6 came up against two quality opponents in Gold Coast and Logan Thunder. While the scoreboard didn’t fall our way, the boys never stopped competing, supporting one another and giving maximum effort until the final buzzer.
