Basketball is about our kids learning, competing, making friends and enjoying the game — and we all have a part to play in creating the right environment for them.

Each week, our games are made possible by referees, scorers, court controllers, coaches, volunteers and staff. Many of these people are giving their time so our kids can take the court, and they deserve to be treated with respect.

We absolutely understand that during games there can be questions or concerns. If something needs attention on game night, please speak respectfully with a Court Controller, who can assist where appropriate.

For matters requiring a formal complaint, please remember that HBBA has a complaints process in place. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing to the HBBA Secretary within 24 hours of the incident.

Most importantly, our kids are watching us. ❤️
Let’s show them what good sportsmanship looks like — win or lose.

A huge congratulations to Fletch and our very own Coach Ethan Burgess on their selection to attend the Basketball Queensland U14 All State Camp on the Gold Coast! 👏

Fletch was selected to take part in the three-day camp, bringing together U14 athletes from the North and South programs across Queensland. His journey continues on 22 September, when he heads to Logan to trial for the Emerging Queensland Team and a chance to compete at the 2027 Southern Cross Challenge. 💪🏀

A special congratulations to Coach Ethan, who was selected by Basketball Queensland as a live-in coach for his first All State Camp — a fantastic achievement and an exciting step in his elite coaching pathway!

🏀 GLORY LEAGUE IS COMING TO HBBA! 📊🔥

We’re excited to announce that Glory League will be launching at Hervey Bay Basketball Association NEXT WEEK — and it will be available across all HBBA club games! 🙌

So, what exactly is Glory League?

Glory League is an automated basketball game recording and stats platform that captures the action on court and turns it into an interactive digital game experience.

📹 How it works:
Glory League uses cameras installed at the stadium to automatically capture games as they’re played. The system follows the action and records the game, allowing players, coaches, families and supporters to watch games back, view highlights and track game statistics.

🏀 Once games are uploaded, players and teams will be able to access their games through the Glory League platform, making it easier than ever to relive the action, review performances and share those big moments!

Whether you're a player wanting to see your game back, a coach reviewing team performance, or a parent who couldn't make it to the game — Glory League gives you a front-row seat, even after the final whistle. 👀

A huge congratulations to all of our junior players who represented Xavier Catholic College, Hervey Bay, Fraser Coast Anglican College and Riverside Christian College at the CBSQ Carnival last week! 👏

It’s fantastic to see so many familiar faces from our local basketball community taking the court in their school colours and enjoying another opportunity to play the game they love. 💜🏀

It is great to see our local schools supporting the growth and development of basketball in our region. Every extra opportunity our young players have to train, compete and get on court helps build their skills, confidence and love of the game.
