Kick Swim Centre Our SMALL swimming classes ensure ample time with your child, which means better value for money and a faster learning time.

At KICK Swim Centre (previously known as Elder's Swim Centre), we provide a safe and happy environment for your child to begin their swimming experience and enter a water world. Starting as early as three months, our instructors have trained to guide students through our technique-based program to reach water competency. KICK Swim Centre hosts the SMALLEST swimming class student: teacher ratio in Hervey Bay, with a maximum of 4 children per learn-to-swim class and 8 in infant classes.

πŸ’™ WATER SAFETY WEDNESDAY πŸ’™

One of the first water safety skills we teach isn’t a stroke β€” it’s how to safely enter and exit the water.

Knowing how to get in and out of a pool confidently helps children make safer choices, avoid unnecessary risks and stay in control around the water.

These simple skills build independence, confidence and good habits that last a lifetime.

Every safe swim starts with a safe entry and ends with a safe exit.

πŸ’™ WATER SAFETY WEDNESDAY πŸ’™

Parents need breaks too.

When you’re spending time around the pool, make a plan for supervision. Taking turns as the designated watcher means everyone gets a chance to relax while the kids stay safe.

The key is making sure someone is always responsible for watching the water β€” not assuming someone else is.

πŸ‘€ One adult watching
πŸ’™ One clear responsibility
β˜€οΈ Everyone gets to enjoy the day

Water safety is a team effort.

πŸ’¦ We're taking a break these school holidays! πŸ’¦

We hope all our swimmers and families enjoy a fun, safe, and relaxing holiday break.

πŸ“… Term 3 commences Monday 13th July, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to the pool for another fantastic term of swimming, learning, and fun.

See you all soon! πŸ’™πŸ§πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

TERM 3 BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN πŸ’™

Water safety doesn't take a winter break β€” and neither should swimming lessons.

While the weather cools down, continuing lessons through winter helps children maintain their swimming skills, build confidence in the water, and continue progressing without losing momentum.

Regular year-round swimming lessons help children:
🏊 Retain important water safety skills
🏊 Build strength, coordination and endurance
🏊 Increase confidence in and around water
🏊 Continue progressing through levels without setbacks
🏊 Stay active during the cooler months

Queensland's warmer weather will be here before we know it, and children who swim through winter are often the ones who are ready to enjoy the water safely and confidently when summer arrives.

Swimming for life starts at Kick Swim Centre.

πŸ“… Term 3: Monday 13 July – Friday 19 September

πŸ’™ WATER SAFETY WEDNESDAY πŸ’™

A great beach day starts before your feet hit the sand.

Checking the weather, tides and surf conditions before you leave can help you choose the safest place and time to swim. Knowing where the patrols are, packing the essentials and having a plan for the day means more time enjoying the beach and less time dealing with surprises.

🌊 Check conditions before you go
πŸ–οΈ Choose a patrolled beach
β˜€οΈ Pack for the weather
πŸ’™ Make a plan and stick together

A little preparation goes a long way when it comes to keeping your family safe around the water.

πŸ€–πŸ’¦ PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT πŸ’¦πŸ€–

It turns out our graphic designer may have been a little too artificial this week...

The Aqua Fitness timetable we posted earlier contained an error.

βœ… Thursday 6:15pm Aqua Aerobics is with Emma (as normal)
❌ Not Mark

No humans were responsible for this mix-up. Our AI assistant got a little carried away making a splash and swapped the instructor name.

Thankfully, our eagle-eyed Aqua Fitness crew spotted it before class time! πŸ‘€

The timetable has now been updated and corrected.

Thanks for your patience, your sense of humour, and for keeping our robots accountable. πŸ˜†

See you in the pool this week before our school holiday break! πŸ’™πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

Join us for a fun, social, low-impact workout that’s guaranteed to leave you smiling. Whether you’re a regular or thinking about giving Aqua Fitness a try, there’s no better time to jump in!

πŸ’™ Build strength
πŸ’™ Improve fitness
πŸ’™ Meet great people
πŸ’™ Have a laugh while you exercise

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER ⚠️
This is our final week of Aqua Fitness before we take a short break for the school holidays.

πŸ–οΈ No Aqua Fitness classes during the school holidays.

πŸ“… Classes return Monday 13 July, and we’ll be back ready to make waves with you all over again!

Come along, bring a friend, and let’s finish the term with a splash!

πŸ‰β€οΈ STATE OF ORIGIN DAY AT THE POOL β€οΈπŸ‰

It’s State of Origin day, and we’re getting into the spirit ahead of tonight’s big game!

πŸ“Έ Wear your colours
🏊 Show your team spirit
πŸ† Get ready for a huge night of Origin

NSW won Game 1. Congratulations. We trust you’ve all enjoyed the last three weeks of talking about it. 😏

Meanwhile, Queenslanders have been quietly getting on with life β€” enjoying our sunshine, our beaches and our annual tradition of being told we’re no chance before Origin proves otherwise.

After all, if Origin was decided after one game, NSW would have a lot more series wins. πŸ˜‰

So get out the maroon (or blue I guess), bring your State pride to the pool today, and let’s get ready for a big night.

❀️ GO THE MAROONS! ❀️
