From Kevin Docherty…
This weekend the four of us from Club Pialba played in the Kandanga Country Club Super Singles . Day 1 was a round round to qualify for the main event . Four divisions ( Div 1,2,3,4 ) stepped on the green this morning . Sid Boshammer and myself , Kevin Docherty made it into Div 1 . Kim Clarke and Dennis Wild made it into Div 2 .

Div 1 was made up of Brendon Smith and his father Dave Smith from Gympie Bowls Club , myself and Sid . By the end of two rounds we all had one win each with amazingly close games , in my own game a win by 1 , and a loss by 2 and by 3 . Sid finished with two wins , Brendon 2 wins and Dave 1 win . After marking count back Sid won the day , Brendon runner-up , myself 3rd , and Dave 4th .

Thanks so much to Puddy Dan , Julie Worth and the crew at Kandanga Country Club for an amazing weekend and tournament. We will be back !!

And for myself after 6 years in a row qualifying in Div 1 I still have the desire to get my name on that marvellous trophy . Congratulations again to my mate Sid Boshammer for the win.
