🌟 Congratulations to our newest Speedo Swim Stars, Evie and Amihan! 🌟

The Speedo Swim Star program is a Swimming Queensland initiative recognising swimmers for their enthusiasm, commitment and contribution to swimming beyond competition results.

Both girls have shown fantastic commitment to their swimming with exceptional leaps in improvement. A very well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Evie and Amihan!

From today, our PM and Saturday morning squad sessions are back outside to the 50m pool. Weekday early morning sessions will stay inside for another couple of weeks.

Representing Wide Bay at the Battle of Brisbane, Jack kicked off the day with dryland Swimnastics training with Kirsten Norde, followed by a Q&A with Australian swimmers Sam Short and Thomas Neill and a training session in the pool.

Then it was time to race, with Jack competing in the 50m backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle, plus three relays for Wide Bay.

A fantastic day of racing, training and learning, and a great experience for one of our young swimmers. Well done, Jack!

A big shout-out to Jack, who has been selected to represent Wide Bay at the Battle of Brisbane Sunday!

Jack will join some of Wide Bay’s best young swimmers as they take on Brisbane in a day of individual and relay racing. A fantastic opportunity and a great achievement to earn his place on the team.

Get ready for the Hervey Bay 2026 Long Course Meet on Saturday 3 October at Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre.

Entries are now open to swimmers from 8 years via Swim Central, with the full meet program also available on Swim Central.

There’s a great mix of 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m events across the day, plus multiclass events.

We’re looking forward to welcoming swimmers and clubs from across the region for a big day of long course racing!

What a fantastic day for our team at the Sunshine Coast Grammar Winter Warrior Challenge.

A massive shout-out to Pandora, who took on the FULL Winter Warrior program (1500m, 800m and 400m free, 400m IM and all four 50m events) and has officially been crowned a Winter Warrior!

It was also fantastic to see swimmers embracing the longer distances and having a crack at something different with Mia, Zoe and Brayden all stepping up for their first 400m free.

There was plenty of racing success, with 12 podium finishes across the team. Amihan had a brilliant meet with 3🥇and 1🥈, Oscar collected 3 🥈, Jack took 1🥇 and Brayden picked up 1🥈 and 2 🥉

There were some HUGE PBs in the 50m events. Evie smashed 12.58 off her fly, 11.07 off her breast and 8.82 off her back. Harrison dropped 9.12 in the back and 6.69 in the fly, while Kieran took 5.97 off his back and 3.43 off his free.

A big thank you to Coach Mick for being on deck today supporting our swimmers through a big day of racing. And a special shout-out to Coach Hayden, who kept the rest of the squad moving back home in the Hervey Bay pool.
