Start of season 2026/27 tomorrow for Little Athletics athletes
Tiny Tots will start next Saturday 5th September.
If you are attending tomorrow, athletes will need to be registered either for a 2-week trial or full season, link below.
Training will start Wednesday 2nd September, any registered athlete is welcome to attend.
4.30-5pm U6 to U8 & 5-6pm U9 to U17

💚❤️🕷️Orientation Day tomorrow at 2pm🕷️❤️💚
Any Little Athletics athletes that are new or that have registered for a 2-week trail can attend but you must be registered. (Tiny Tots starts 5th September)
It is an opportunity for athletes to be familiar with where events are located and have a go at events without timing or measuring.
- It does not count as one of the weeks in the 2-week trial.
- It is optional
- No need to let us know if you can't make it
- Athletes can wear comfortable clothing and must wear shoes

Attention all under 11 and under 12 registered and trialing athletes with the intention of registering for the season. You can attend a transitional event series at City North Little Athletics on Sunday 13th of September 8.30am to 11am
Cost: $30 in training in two events.

Introducing our U11 & U12 Transitional Events Series — a brand-new athlete development opportunity designed to help young athletes build confidence and technique in three key transitional events: Triple Jump I Javelin I High Jump (Flop)
Led by experienced coaches, each session will focus on teaching the fundamentals and correct techniques athletes need as they progress through Little Athletics.
Athletes will choose two events to train in on the day, with 45 minutes of dedicated coaching in each event. Choose 2 activities for $30!
Brisbane - City North Little Athletics - Sunday 13 September | 8:30am–11:00am
Gold Coast – Runaway Bay Little Athletics Sunday 27 September | 8:30am–11:00am
Sunshine Coast – Caloundra Little Athletics - Sunday 4 October | 8:30am–11:00am
Each athlete will also take home an information pack covering all three transitional events, packed with handy tips to continue developing their skills. Open to U11 & U12 athletes registered with any Little Athletics Centre in Queensland, as well as athletes currently trialing with the intention of registering for the season.
Places are limited, with event selections available on a first-in basis. Build the skills now. Take them into the season with confidence.

The New Zealand Development Tour is a unique and exciting opportunity for Little Athletics Queensland athletes in the U14 and U15 age groups.
Athletes of all ability levels are encouraged to apply. This tour is designed as a development opportunity and supports growth at every stage of an athletes journey.

📣 When is the best time to secure your new Play On! Sports Voucher?
Applications for Play On! Sports Vouchers will open on 27 July, with up to $200 available to help Queensland kids aged from 5-17 participate in sport.
There will be two opportunities to apply this financial year.
If you’re planning ahead for summer sport, it’s best to apply this round. If your focus is on winter sports like netball or football, you may prefer to wait for the round later this financial year.
