Well done to all our students performing at the Spring Swing Show!
Ernie is going to be taking a short break (he needs it!) and we are happy to welcome the dynamic duo, Jason Sandman and Rosie Michell to take over for the rest of the year!
Level 1 recap Swing Patrol Hawthorn 7th September 2026 - 8 count lindy hop. Open 8 count rhythm, add styling variation for leads and swivels for follows, open to double handed swingout to open and rock step, pivot move to a bounce, bounce. Great work level 1's, really getting more comfortable with the 8 count dance style!

Hiya Swing Patrol Hawthorn! It's spring and as the weather slowly starts to warm up we have some fantastic hot jazz coming your way!
This Monday 7th September 2026 it is Sarah (Swing Patrol Oakleigh) filling in for Monique (unexpected illness) and Ernie continuing their classes at Hawthorn.
Level 1 - 6:45pm beginners -8 count lindy hop. It is the rhythm most used for our social dancing. More fun, more variations, more fundamentals coming your way. Join in anytime! 🙂
Level 2 - 8pm intermediate. Last practice before the Performance ball routine. Time to ask all of those questions, revise the routine and polish and chat about performance vibes! Looking forward to seeing everyone :) We have a great crew :)

This Monday 31st August 2026 we have Sarah (Swing Patrol Oakleigh) filling in for Monique (unexpected illness) and Ernie continuing their classes at Hawthorn.

Level 2 - 8pm intermediate. Performance ball routine. After a great practice session on Sunday.
We are just revising and finessing the last few components of the routine and practising our formation and the entire sequence! :)

Level 1 - 6:45pm beginners -8 count lindy hop. It is the prerequisite rhythm for the performance ball routine. Building on your swingouts! Join in anytime! :)
Level 2 - 8pm intermediate. Performance ball routine. We have nearly finished!
You don't need a partner, you can learn the routine and decide later if you want to perform. 8 count lindy hop. Fun to learn choreography to the music! 🙂
