Congratulations to Brendan Gallagher, who travelled to Tweed Heads to compete in the Australian Indoor Championships. โค๏ธ๐
Brendan went down in the first set before pushing his opponent, Sheldon Bagrie-Howley (Soldiers Point, NSW), all the way in a tense second set. The scoreline read 6-9, 7-7, with the match going right down to the wire before the result went against him.
At MCC, weโre incredibly proud of you, Brendan. Getting to this level of competition is no small feat, and you represented our club with the values we stand for.
Well done and well represented, Brendan! ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ

๐ A new pathway for the future of lawn bowls ๐โค๏ธ
The MCC Bowls Section, in partnership with Mount Waverley Bowling Club and Mazenod College, has launched the Elite Pathways Program to introduce more young people to the sport and create a clear journey from school participation through to competitive bowls.
Mazenod students will take part in coaching and learn the fundamentals of lawn bowls through the Collegeโs midweek sports program, with opportunities to progress into club competition and further development opportunities through MCC Bowls.
The program welcomes players of all abilities and aims to build confidence, skills and a lifelong connection with the sport.
MCC Bowls Chairman John Kaloger said the initiative creates an exciting pathway from school and community participation through to higher-level competition, helping develop the next generation of bowlers.
We look forward to supporting the growth of junior bowls and welcoming new young players to our community. ๐โค๏ธ

Hi members,
Please note that our green is currently undergoing maintenance to ensure it remains in top condition for everyone. During this period, we ask all bowlers to please use the east and west ends only.
Your cooperation helps protect the surface while maintenance works are being completed and is greatly appreciated by the club and greenkeeping team.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
