Myrtle House was founded in February 2019 by Edward Cummings.

Edward named his new stable Myrtle House to pay respect to the first horse that his Great Grandfather, Jim Cummings, trained - Myrtle, the Alice Springs Cup winner of 1910

Flying From Above continued his excellent run of form with another win today over 1600m at Warwick Farm, courtesy of a brilliant Jett Newman ride. Jett came out to Myrtle House to ride this horse in a piece of work last week and it proved beneficial today. She’s a talented young rider going places.

Flying From Above claimed his third win to go with his three placings from just 12 career starts. He has earned $143,050 and counting. He has had an excellent campaign with two wins and two placings from his past four outings.

The Pierata five-year-old is out of the High Chaparral mare High Above. Also a city-winning mare, she comes from a real Gorree family with the third dam being Tropical Affair. She produced VRC Derby and Champagne Stakes winner Prized Icon.

Well done to Flying From Above’s owner-breeder Mark Moore and our team at Myrtle House.

Fantastic result to score another win with Demmo Dermy at Bathurst on Monday for a patient ownership group under a strong Pierre Boudvillain ride. There was plenty of contact in the straight but the five-year-old was able to come out on top in a close finish.

The Yes Yes Yes five-year-old brought up the first winner for the season for Myrtle House and is starting top build a consistent record with two wins and two placings from his seven starts.

Well done to the ownership group involved and to our team at Myrtle House!

Flying From Above flew through the field to claim a home-track win, courtesy of a great Siena Grima ride. The field fanned out on the turn and just at it looked as though Siena would have to fly from above, literally, a gap opened to the inside and she pointed and shot through it to prevail in a tight finish.

We were confident he’d run well today out to 1500m on the back of his last start, also at Hawkesbury, over the seven furlongs, and the Pierata gelding didn’t disappoint. Well done to owner Mark Moore and his Ronnies Racing as well as our team at Myrtle House.

Arato breaks through for a win at Gosford under Rachel King over the 1100m on Thursday. It was an excellent ride from Rachel, who noted that it was a win full of merit as he wasn’t fully comfortable on that tighter track. He’s a big striding horse that will benefit with a bit more ground and a spacious track.

Very pleased to get the win for this ownership group who have been very patient with this horse. The four-year-old was having just his third career start but it looks as though that patience will be rewarded.

Demmo Dermy came home like a wrecking ball today at Illawara Grange under Pierre Boudvillain over the 1300m. It was an excellent ride from Pierre who was onboard for the first time. It’s been a consistent campaign from the Yes Yes Yes four-year-old so far, but it was great to break through for a deserving win. He was coming into the race with two placings from three runs this time in, including a placing on the same course last start.

He was dropping back from the 1450m last start and the shorter distance seemed to really suit him at this stage of his career. We’ll likely keep him at this trip for his next start and find another suitable race to score another win.

Well done to the ownership group and our team at Myrtle House!

Flaming Moon cantered away from them at Orange for an easy win under Mitch Bell yesterday to continue the excellent start to the New Year for the stable.

Mitch took the race into his own hands, making a move from the back of the field at the 600m mark to round the field and kick clear in the straight.

The Too Darn Hot mare appreciated the step up to 2100m from the 1800m last start and dropping back to country grade, she was too good.

Well done to the ownership group and our team at Myrtle House.

“A gap job on debut!”

Exfortythree made a winning start to his career claiming an impressive victory at Kembla Grange on debut on Saturday. The in-form Mollie Fitzgerald gave the four-year-old a positive ride from a tricky barrier and the pair dropped the field in the straight for a terrific win.

We were expecting a good showing on the back of an excellent trial and his work at home in the build-up had been very strong as well.

There is a great group of owners in this horse and they have had to be patient up until this point and now it looks like they’re going to have plenty of fun going forward.

Shadashi came from last to first in an emphatic winner at Newcastle on the Beaumont course. Molly Fitzgerald gave the Shamus Award mare a lovely ride, biding her time throughout, before making a sweeping run down the middle of the track to claim her maiden victory by 6.5 lengths.

She is a mare that has required some patience but getting out to the 2100m was the key to her and she will stretch out over even further.

Shadashi is raced by Russell Barwick who is a great supporter of Myrtle House and David Barwick also shares in the ownership. Well done to everyone involved and another winner for the stable this week.

O Cara Mia justified being favourite with a strong win at Gosford yesterday under Donovan Dillon. The Pierro mare is raced by a great group of people including Julia Ritchie who’s Bangaloe Stud red and black colours she races in.

It was an excellent first up performance and she looks set for a good prep.

Well done to our team at Hawkesbury.

Another satisfying win with Nantucket Island today at Kembla Grange, brilliantly guided by Lee Magorrian over 1400m in the last event of the day.

We’ve always had a good opinion of this mare and it’s great to see her putting it all together after some patient times for the ownership group.

She’s been a talented horse the whole way through since we purchased her at the Magic Millions and with two wins this prep we have her in the perfect order to keep building.

Well done to the connections and our team at Hawkesbury!
