🐴🌿 DO YOU HAVE A YOUNG PERSON WHO LOVES HORSES — BUT NEEDS SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST A HORSE ACTIVITY?
TERM 4 ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN FOR HORSE CARE PATHWAYS!
Our Horse Care Pathways Program is a structured 10-week program designed for young people who thrive through practical, hands-on learning.
Yes, they will learn about horses.
But what they can develop along the way goes far beyond horse care.
Over 10 weeks, participants work alongside our team and horses in a supportive, practical environment, with opportunities to build:
🧠 Emotional regulation & self-management
🤝 Communication, social skills & teamwork
⭐ Confidence, self-belief & independence
🧩 Problem-solving & flexible thinking
📋 Planning, sequencing & following multi-step tasks
⏳ Patience, persistence & frustration tolerance
🎯 Attention, focus & task completion
🐴 Responsibility, decision-making & safety awareness
💪 Practical skills, coordination & body awareness
🌱 Social and community participation
🗣️ Self-advocacy & asking for help when needed
💼 Work-readiness, routine & transferable life skills
All while learning genuine, practical horse-care skills including horse behaviour, safe handling, grooming, feeding, paddock and stable care, equipment, horse health, welfare and responsible day-to-day care.
🐴 HORSE CARE PATHWAYS – TERM 4
📅 10-week program
📍 Yarramundi & Kurrajong
🗓️ Two days each week
📚 Theory & knowledge-based learning
🐴 Practical, hands-on horse care
👥 Supportive small-group environment
For young people who experience high social anxiety or find larger groups overwhelming, we also have a very small Friday option at Kurrajong, allowing us to provide a quieter, lower-pressure environment.
Horse Care Pathways can be particularly valuable for young people who may struggle in traditional classroom environments but come alive when learning is practical, purposeful and connected to something they genuinely care about.
We work with the individual person in front of us. Their goals might be confidence, emotional regulation, independence, social connection, work readiness, communication or simply learning to successfully participate in something again.
💙 NDIS participants are welcome where the support is appropriate, aligns with the participant’s individual goals and can be funded from their plan. Private participants and other funding arrangements are also welcome.
📣 TERM 4 ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN — AND PLACES ARE LIMITED.
If you have a young person who loves horses and you think they could benefit from learning in a completely different environment, we’d love to hear from you.
