Our woodchopping program has begun here at Penrith Show! 🪵🪓

We’ve got a full day of chopping ahead, including a 300mm Underhand Championship. The sun is shining! It’s going to be a great day!

If you’re here at the showground throughout the day and get any photos or videos, send them through to us, we’d love to see them!

If you haven’t yet got your entries in, you can do so via the QR code on this post or in the book.

Once the deadline has passed, no more entries will be accepted!!

QR CODE UPDATE‼️

To all competitors looking to nominate for Penrith and Berowra shows, the current QR codes and links that are in the book for these shows are outdated and incorrect.

We have since updated these to new QR codes and our most updated nomination form.

PLEASE use the NEW QR codes to nominate for these shows. The QR codes are labelled what show they’re for!

A reminder when nominating for these shows. Entries must be paid for no later than the nomination cut off date, otherwise there will be no log for you on the day! Please use your name and show as the reference when payment is made.

We are ready for a big weekend ahead. We’ve got over 50 axemen and women here for the weekend, which sets up for some fierce competition.

Sydney Royal Easter Show Recap 🪵🪓

Congratulations to all Metropolitan club members who competed at this year’s Royal Easter Show. It was a great 11 days of competition.

We had members competing across a variety of events - single handed sawing, double handed sawing, underhand, and standing block, as well as championship events.

We couldn’t be prouder of those who placed in their respective events throughout the show:
🪓 Thomas - 1st place - 300mm Standing Block Handicap (second division)
🪓 Scout - 4th place - 275mm Women’s Underhand Handicap
🪓 Scout - 7th place - Women’s World Championship 275mm Underhand
🪓 Evan - 1st place - 275mm Underhand Handicap (under 18 years)
🪓 Evan - 1st place - 275mm Underhand Handicap (under 21 years)
🪓 Kain - 4th place - Junior Development Program (under 16 years)

A special shoutout to Evan who also came home with the Sydney Royal Easter Show Junior Encouragement Award. What a fantastic achievement! 👏
