🏏 Ahead of the Test in Mackay, Harrup Park played host to a School Blast clinic featuring some of Australia's biggest cricket stars.

Sixty students from five local primary schools were given the opportunity to play cricket with their heroes, Travis Head, Alex Carey and Beau Webster.

The youngsters made the most of their time with the Australian trio, both on and off the field. After the games, they fired off some hard-hitting questions, including the all-important: "If you win the toss, will you bat or bowl?" 🤔

Cricket on the Road in Central Queensland 🏏🚗

Recently, Queensland Cricket was on the road across the Central Highlands and Central West, visiting 19 schools and introducing more young Queenslanders to the game.

From introducing the fundamentals of the game to seeing students enjoy active, engaging cricket sessions, there was plenty of enthusiasm on display along the way. One of the highlights was the WWCF Pop-up Blast at Emerald State School, where students embraced the opportunity to get involved and have fun.

A big thank you to all the schools, teachers and students for the warm welcome. We loved sharing the game with so many young people and look forward to seeing even more future cricketers pick up a bat and ball across the region! 💫

There has been plenty of cricket action across the Gold Coast, with young Queenslanders getting active, learning new skills and having plenty of fun along the way 🌟🏏

Every Sunday at Gainsborough Parklands in Pimpama, more than 55 Cricket Blasters have been learning the fundamentals of the game thanks to the Usman Khawaja Foundation & Australian International Sport Organisation. Queensland Cricket and partners were able to fund this program to be free for participants, making it an accessible program for the local communities 🏏

We also had a fantastic morning at the Gold Coast Her Game Grows Come & Try event, with participants enjoying Cricket Blast activities, an inflatable throwing target and a Design Your Own Jersey station. There were plenty of smiles throughout the day and it was great to see so many young girls giving cricket a go 💙💛

The inaugural Gold Coast Classic delivered a day full of action, with eight schools competing in a unique T10 format ☀️ 🏏

After three rounds of matches and a final round based on ladder positions, it was All Saints Anglican School who emerged victorious, receiving the shield from Joe Burns.

Building better coaches to build a stronger game 🔥

Over 50 coaches from across Queensland came together to complete their four-day Level 2 Representative Coaching qualifications in Townsville and Brisbane.
