Current and upcoming roadworks.

🟢 Complete / reopened:
🎉 Taylors Road and Plumpton Road intersection - traffic lights were switched on Wednesday 30 September.
🚧 Road closures:
🔴 Plumpton Road, Diggers Rest: Temporary road closure between Shoring Road and Colour Road from 7am to 3pm on Friday 2 October to replace damaged powerlines, localised detours in place.
🔴 Bridge Road, Strathtulloh: The temporary closure between Diamond Parade and Alabaster Avenue is expected to be lifted at the end of today, Friday 2 October 2026. Council is installing a raised signalised pedestrian crossing.
🔴 Banchory Avenue, Hillside: Temporarily closed at Melton Highway to install traffic lights at the intersection. Lanes on Melton Highway have reopened and we are seeking a date from the developer on when Banchory Avenue is expected to reopen to traffic.
🔴 Normanby Avenue, Deanside: The temporary closure of Normanby Avenue at Sinclairs Road for developer works has been extended due to recent rain. The road is expected to reopen at 5pm Saturday 3 October, however the road will need to close on Monday 5 October from 9.30am until 2.30pm, then it will be fully reopened. Detour via Curtain Avenue and Duffy Way.
🚆 Ferris Road southbound carriageway closed between Abey Road and Coach Street each night from 8pm to 5am Tuesday 13 October until Thursday 15 October for public lighting and audits.
🚧 Lane closures: Please allow for extra travel time or use alternative routes
🟠 Fields Street at Taylors Road, Aintree: The temporary closure of the southbound lane of Fields Street at Taylors Road, between 7am and 4pm, is expected to be lifted today, Friday 2 October, for Department of Transport works to construct a new bus stop. Detour via Frontier Avenue.
🟠 Boundary Road, Truganina: one lane temporarily closed between Hurst Drive and Woods Road for developer works until Friday 23 October. Traffic will travel through Boundary Road via shuttle flow under the control of traffic signals.
