If you've been down to the Pavilion to any of our fixtures in the past week, you would have noticed a very much needed addition, being our new Scorebench.
Our very own club member and volunteer, Kim Laycock, built and donated this to our club, sponsored by her business Gympie Pool World.
This is just the latest donation Gympie Pool World has given our club as they have been a regular sponsor over the last several years, particularly supporting our junior rep teams and we could not thank them enough. Their generosity will be enjoyed by our members for many years to come.
On behalf of the entire club we wanted to say a very big THANK YOU!

It is with heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences to one of our Gympie Comets families following the sudden and heartbreaking loss of a beloved husband and father.

Our thoughts, love and prayers are with Jenny, the girls, and their extended family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

As a basketball community, we are more than teammates—we are family. Please come together to support one another with kindness, compassion and practical help where you can.

🏀 Help Shape the Future of Basketball in Gympie! 🏀

You may have seen the recent announcement regarding Gympie Regional Council's purchase of land for the future construction of a multi-use sports facility.

This is an exciting and positive step forward for Gympie Basketball. A dedicated indoor stadium would provide our association with the opportunity to continue growing, better support our current members, increase participation, and provide much-needed court space for training, competitions, carnivals and community programs.

As part of this project, Gympie Regional Council is developing a new Open Space and Recreation Strategy to guide the future of parks, recreation facilities, sporting precincts and open spaces across our region over the next 10 years.

Now is the time for our basketball community to have its say.

Every response helps demonstrate the importance of investing in basketball and indoor sporting facilities for our region.

Gympie Open Space and Recreation Strategy Survey | Your Say Gympie Region Gympie Regional Council is planning for the future of parks, open spaces, sport and recreation facilities across the region. The Gympie Region Sports Precinct is an important step in planning for the future health, wellbeing and liveability of our community.

Round 3 of Play On vouchers are now open! These can be utilised up until 27 June 2027.

Eligible Queensland families can now apply for up to $200 to help children aged 5-17 years participate in sport.

Vouchers can be used with registered Play On! activity providers across Queensland.

The wait is over... it's State Championships week! ☄️

After months of early mornings, training sessions, kilometres travelled, laughter, challenges and plenty of hard work, our U14 Girls are ready to proudly represent Gympie at the Queensland Junior Basketball State Championships on the Sunshine Coast.

We couldn't be prouder of this incredible group of young athletes. Win, lose or draw, you've already shown what it means to be Comets—with determination, resilience, teamwork and heart.

A huge thank you goes to our amazing families for your endless support, commitment and encouragement throughout the season. We simply couldn't do this without you.
