Meet Brandy, or Honey's Mum as people at the gym like to call her.

We've worked together for quite a while. She started doing CF with us in 2014 (lol, what the f**k? that's ages. It might have even been 2013)

ANYWAY - Read the slides to find out some of her more recent story and what we've been up to with training in the last 2-3 years.

She is so strong and resilient. I'm super greatful to have her as a client and friend, but she's actually kinda shy so please don't tell her I posted this 😜

One of the biggest things I hear from women who want to start strength training is:

"I've tried going to the gym, but then I didn't know what to do so I just walked on the treadmill for a bit then left"

If you've never been taught how to lift, of course the gym can feel confusing and intimidating.

Details for my new small group strength training program are coming out later in the week. It will be for my girls who never felt like they've quite got the hang of going to the gym and lifting weights before.

When you start training with me expect me to ask you about pets and also I will show you photos of my cat's haircuts because it's very funny and cute.

I used to be a huge wa**er when I was a CrossFit coach and thought that CrossFit was the superior fitness program and everyone should be doing it and if they weren't that was dumb of them (lol, okay settle down baby coach) but now (as a grown ass weightlifting and strength coach with a bit more life experience) I know that the best exercise program is the one that you will actually do.

For Laura doing weightlifting with me and the girls has been it. It has been the right combination of things to help her actually stick to something. She's still at it 3 and half years later, through all the highs and lows.

Maybe you don't hate exercise, maybe you just haven't found your thing?

There are probably a million different reasons a person might go to the gym and lift weights.

Just know that there are more reasons than to just change your body (a totally valid reason, but certainly not the only one)

Losing weight doesn't have to mean losing your muscle.

When my client started Mounjaro, one of our priorities was making sure her training and nutrition supported muscle retention.

Are you taking a GLP-1 and want to make sure your training supports your goals?

My new program is designed to help women build strength and feel confident in the gym and would be great for you.

More details coming next week. Drop me a message if you'd like the info first!

If you’re taking a GLP-1 medication, strength training is just not up for negotiation.

Weight loss isn’t just about the number on the scales, you also want to protect as much of your muscle mass as possible while you lose weight.

Your muscle mass determines your general strength, metabolism and long-term physical function so yeah, I guess you could say it's pretty important.

This is why resistance exercise, alongside adequate protein intake, shouldn't be overlooked.

If you don't know how to strength train or have been unsuccessful with it in the past, keep your eyes peeled because I have a new program coming for you!

I don't mean to brag but 🤷‍♀️

Remote coaching isn't about training alone.

It's about having a coach who can help you train around your life, stay consistent, build confidence and adjust when things change but in a way that suits you.

Last chance to get in on the winter intro price of $45p/w for the first 12 weeks.
