Cooloola Coast Kart Club is an affiliated associate member of Karting Australia Ltd
The Cooloola "Gympie Gold Race Track" was opened on the 12th November 2006. Since this time we have made many improvements to the facility and continue to do so as finances permit. Cooloola Coast Kart Club is a non profit organisation and is run by a very dedicated group of volunteer club members and continues to do so on that basis. Our circuit is 890 metres long by 8 metres wide and is approved by Karting Australia Ltd to conduct race events in both directions. The circuit features 10 corners, differing from fast to slow sections with both negative and positive camber. The track is unusual in that it is undulating, a feature that is not found in European karting cirtcuits. Track Inspections occur every year by an appointed Inspector and circuit inspections are conduced prior to each event by race day officials. There are a number of events that the Cooloola Coast Kart Club hosts throughout the year, our race calendar and race information is available on this site and we welcome visitors to our events and there is no admission fee for the general public. Feel free to browse the site as we build it up to ensure that you are well informed of our karting competitions and club activities.

🏆 With just two more Club Championship rounds to go for the 2026 racing season, there’s currently some pretty close results between drivers. Who will be our class and overall club champions for 2026??
DON’T FORGET:
❗️Your worst round gets dropped
❗️You must complete a minimum of one volunteer duty before the last round (thank you to those who have completed this and more)
❗️You must be a CCKC member for the race event to count towards your points. No club membership = no points for that round.
🔔 Volunteering is as simple as taking part in our Working Bee this Saturday, being the KAC on a social karting day (half day), helping out on a race day on scales, grid or recovery. It’s super easy but time is ticking away and if there’s no green tick you will not be eligible for club championship trophies.
Of course, we are human and errors and omission can sometimes happen so if you think we’ve made a mistake please let us know 👩🏼‍💻
See everyone for Club Championship Round 8 on Sunday 4th October. Nominations now open on KOMP.

🛠️CLUB WORKING BEE THIS SATURDAY 🔩
As we head towards the end of the year, we have a few jobs to take care of and your help would be appreciated!
Safety is our Number 1 priority so we have a load of tyres that need bolting together and getting out on track. We have the equipment - but need your help. Please bring:
👉🏼 Impact driver with 10mm impact bit
👉🏼 10mm spanner
Our spectator safety fence needs some repair and TLC
Are you a plumber or have some plumbing experience? We have a down pipe that needs repair - we have the part, just need your expertise and maybe a extension ladder
PLUS! We have a shipping container on site filled with a lot of “stuff” that we would like to clear out and clean out. Bring some gloves!
The BBQ will get fired up and lunch provided for those attending the working bee. Comment below if you’re coming! We have the best club community and look forward to hanging out together. We are BETTER TOGETHER 🫶🏻👊🏼
Social karting Saturday arvo REVERSE direction. See you there 👍🏼

🪩 20th YEAR ANNIVERSARY - 2006-2026

In November Cooloola Coast Kart Club celebrates 20 years of racing on our Gympie Gold track 🏁 and we are on the hunt for any photos past and present members and visitors may have to celebrate this milestone - especially of those early years. So dig out those photo albums (remember when we used to print those 35mm camera rolls? 🎞️), digital camera files, CDs, DVDs…however you store your old photos and email any CCKC racing memories from earlier years to Cheryl at [email protected].

💡Extra points if you can include some info about the photo, rough date and first names of people included. Let’s get the power of social media behind this and see what we can find!

Share, repost and tag anyone who has been involved with CCKC in the past. Let’s celebrate our club and the hundreds of people who have been involved over the years.

Watch this space and stay tuned for a 2007 video memory we recently came across on an old CD. It will bring back a lot of memories!
